I stayed one night in September 2025 at this property. While the host was kind and tried to be helpful, I would not recommend staying here as the place needs major upgrades. The house is very old, dusty, with spider webs, insects, and many stains on the bed covers and towels. There were also several miscommunications with the host. I was told the property was walkable to the city center, but in reality it’s on a hill, quite far, and unsafe to walk at night due to poor street lighting. The check-in process was also confusing — the Airbnb listing said 2 PM, but when I asked if we could arrive earlier, the host said yes. We thought we could follow the instructions in the listing (using the safety box and key), but it turned out the house hadn’t been cleaned yet, and the host actually meant we should leave our luggage at another property. This led to a lot of misunderstanding and frustration. Although the host later cleaned the house, it still wasn’t very clean, and even the “fresh” sheets and towels had stains. The AC wasn’t working at first, though it was eventually fixed along with the TV. The host did apologize and even gave us souvenirs, but overall the stay was uncomfortable. In the end, my main concerns are hygiene and safety. The property is old, dusty, and not well maintained, and its location makes it unsafe to walk at night unless you’re in a big group. Personally, I would not return. If visiting Sapa, I’d recommend staying at a hotel closer to the city center — you can still enjoy the mountain view from there, but with much better comfort...
