Albeit being a touristy place, it’s surprising how little English the people here can speak/understand.
Ha was an amazing host, she was very warm, reassuring and helpful. Helped us a lot during our short stay.
The room was comfortable and everything about the stay was perfect! Try the Sapa tea! It was great during winter.
However, if you’re like us, planning to go from Sapa to Ha Giang, please, please, please do not arrange with any hotel. Just tell them to call you a taxi to bring you to the bus station. Look for Tien Phung bus that brings you from Lao Caí - Ha Giang and pay the bus driver directly.
Reject it if the hotel offers to book your bus ticket. It’s a rip off - not saying they are at fault but you can compare the price. Our hotel - Heart of Sapa said they will book our bus ticket for us. When we left the hotel, Ha handed us an envelope and told us it’s the bus ticket and told us to pass it to the bus driver. But we realize the bus tickets were just in total 300mio VND. Hotel charged us 11 USD/person.
It’s wise to just get a taxi to the bus station, just cost you 30mio.
Would have rated 5 stars if not for this incident.

Read moreOutstanding services! Very friendly and helpful reception! We arrived around 7am which is much early then the check-in time, they provide us shower and welcome beverage, which is exactly what we need after an overnight train.
The room, bathroom, bedsheets and pillows are clean. We are on the third floor, mountain view. You can expect watching neighbours around with the mountain as background, good to feel the vibe around. Very quite place, cant hear noise from other rooms. There is no lift, so it's more backpacker friendly. The drainage of the toilet smells occasionally, we closed the bathroom door to get away from that. (im very sensitive to smells, this is why I took 2 stars away from rating, it will be perfect if the drainage is fixed )
Breakfast is unlimited order from menu, I like the pancakes and pho. Very convenient location, 5 min away from the square, local stewers and restaurants right at the corner, convenience store in 3 min walk. They can also arrange transpotation to train station in reasonable price, I would suggest this hotel...
Read moreBought this hotel after reading all the good reviews on google. It was worth every buck!! The owners were really friendly and nice and it feels like home going back to the hotel after long days of trekking. Breakfast was egg, salad or pancake based - the omelette dishes were the best in my opinion. Highly recommended to book bus rides or tours or taxis through the owners as they are very honest people whom i doubt are profiting from the recommendations as we paid the drivers straight. Bike rental was also the same rates as others. We could store our luggages since early morning and they allowed us to use their personal showers to wash up from our sleeper bus :) Last of all, the location was great - it’s near Cat cat village and the Sapa station to go up Fansipan. Lots of local food around and the best thing is it’s away from main streets so the honkings were barely audible!! Thank you for your hospitality and making our Sapa trip such an...
