On Easter Sunday, the store announced its opening hours, indicating that it would be open until 6 pm. This information was conveyed through flyers on the store door and Google's opening times. Relying on these announced hours, I arrived at the store precisely at 5 pm to collect my prescribed medication (which I urgently needed) and a click-and-collect item (less urgent). Upon arrival at 5 pm, I found the store door closed, despite others also standing outside. Someone tried the door handle, which was unlocked, and entered the store. However, a staff member emerged, stating the store was closed, despite the advertised opening hours. When we mentioned the opening hours displayed on Google Holiday opening hours, the staff member claimed the opening hours had changed for the holiday. Yet, when we pointed out the advertised holiday hours on the store door, she mentioned the head office made a mistake and closed the door. Another staff member removed the flyer and shut the door without explanation or even simply saying sorry. This incident is not an isolated one. Previously, I experienced issues with pricing discrepancies and inadequate product knowledge from staff. For instance, I once purchased a cosmetic item at half-price, only to find I was charged full price. Rectifying this mistake took 20 minutes, without an apology. Another time, I inquired about the safety of a moisturizer during pregnancy, expecting expert advice, but received dismissive and contradictory responses from staff. I was told by the staff member where you leave prescriptions that we don’t provide any information on the off-the-shelf products. I have also shopped at other Chemist warehouse stores like Toowong. However because those visits are not regular, I have not had any issues with them. These recurring issues make me question the management of this particular store and, perhaps, other Chemist...
Read moreUnfortunately, I’ve had the worst experience ever. Up until today, it was all good but for some reason, the two Asian pharmacists behind the counter (the middle-aged lady and a younger guy, in lab coats) were absolutely rude and horrible in their behaviour, today. I went in for a simple cold/cough medicine and they asked me for a photo id. I don’t drive (no driver’s license), so I produced a pdf scanned copy of my passport and my student uni ID. Both declined to even see them and said I had to give them the original passport! Seriously? OG passport for a cold/cough med!!! How many people carry around their passports to buy medicine??? But ok, granted. Rules are rules! What made it worse was the rude reply from the guy pharmacist “Go somewhere else”. And the lady pharmacist is just a big “know it all and loud-mouthed” (ironic coz she has been wrong on several occasions and is rude and doesn’t listen to people, completely. She only prescribes stuff based on her limited intellect). This is what happens when companies do not review their hiring practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!what was the end result? I didn’t get the med that I seriously needed! Horrible...
Read moreStaff everywhere stocking shelves, talking to one another and blocking pathways with an attitude, yet no one available to serve customers. Waited 10 minutes at the prescription counter to simply get over the counter antihistamines, no one would even notice me. Can’t exactly jump over and grab it myself.
I walked away to the fragrance section to get the perfume I wanted. Again, no help, which was pretty important seeing as it was locked in a glass cabinet and all. So I paid for my toothpaste through the counter service line and asked for assistance with buying perfume from the locked glass case. The server called someone else over using the intercom. The person arrives and helps someone else next to me, saying that he’ll go get something from out the back for them. They all walk off. 5 minutes later he still hadn’t returned.
So I walked out. That place is a circus. I left with one of the three things I went there for. I’ve never seen a business so disinterested in making money and so useless at...
