We were approached by some tourist asking us for directions to this place one afternoon. They had heard really good things about the place and it was one of the dining options they wanted to try while in Brisbane. Naturally, this piqued our interest and we had to check it out. This was one I struggled a little with the review. I believe in sharing my insights and perspectives so others can make an inform decision on their own. I am not a critic and personally, I don't think anyone has the right to critic over the hard earned labour of others. We can share our experiences and that's all there is to it. So here is my humble opinion and I hope you will always exercise your own judgement by trying out these places for yourself. First up, the food was good. It's hard to stand out with Fried Chicken. It's done to death and frankly, KFC set the bar very high for the rest of the world. So in saying that, I think Mom absolutely met the expectations. Wonderfully fresh and delicious batter that had the right amount of crunch with the jawbreaking effort. The chicken within was moist and tasty. Their handmade potato chips as a topping was an awesome touch and so yummy! The portion sizes are fair and reasonable. We ordered the Chicken Fried Rice as well and that was extremely good. Again, Fried Rice is a difficult one to impress anyone but Mom did a superb job with it. We love the flavours, the generous dash of fresh cracked pepper and the fresh cabbage slaw side to go with it worked wonderfully. Price wise, it was on the high end of the spectrum but given the quality of the food, I think it is fair. There wasn't a long wait to be seated, served or for the meal to turn up. It all worked quickly and efficiently. What we struggled with was the customer service and the noise. The staff was efficient to the point of being abrupt and cold. I am not sure if it was the design of the interior that made the nosies echo but we found it really noisy. In saying that, I think its a great spot for uni students and you won't ever feel like you're making too much noise. P/s. There are bathrooms inside the restaurant which is a plus in the city rather than trekking all the way to the Myer Centre or some public facilities down the road.

This is the worst Momo Chicken branch. We came here at 11:30am on Thursday and were extremely disappointed by the food, price and service. As three hungry students, we ordered the snowing three set and the rose tteokbokki, costing us $62. The chicken plate was not full in the slightest, and the chicken pieces were all batter, no chicken. The table across from us ordered the same menu item, and their plate was practically overflowing with food, with huge PROPER chicken pieces. It felt as though the chefs had given us the batter scraps from the bottom of the bowl. Also, the minuscule amount of sauce provided is ridiculous, and definitely not enough. It’s simply a trap to pay for more. The tteokbokki was extremely mediocre. For $21, I’d definitely expect more than the amount that was provided. Considering inflation and rising costs I can understand that prices may be slightly more expensive, however this was an ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF! Even after finishing both dishes, the three of us were still hungry, and very unsatisfied. Additionally, the staff here are rude. They don’t greet you upon entrance, but instead yell at you from the opposite side of the restaurant. She basically threw the food onto our table, and the three of us were clearly displeased with what we were given. However, making an immediate complaint was not an option, considering her lengthy response time - it took her 20 minutes to give us the table water we requested as soon as we ordered. Service here is lacking and needs to improve if Momo wants to keep their customers happy. Please do something about this. Nobody wants to pay $60 for some deep fried flour and 10 rice cakes.

Every time I visit Brisbane, I'll definitely go to Momo for their Korean fried chicken with my fried chicken buddy. Having recently travelled to Korea, I could say their chicken is comparable to some of the good ones I had in Korea. I have tried many different places. Yesterday we were disappointed to find that the fried chicken no longer came with fried potato chips and the vegetable pancake is pretty bland and disappointing too (you could tell from the pic) However the fried chicken is still good so that was the saving grace. Most Korean places would allow at least 1 top-up of the banchan (radish & kimchi) But the staff said it's 1 serve only and any top-up is chargeable. In Korea, it's freeflow and you can help yourself to the banchan counter. I wish they had better service since it's all app order these days, which would have enhanced the experience. Not just drop the food and leave. I've recommended many of my colleagues to Momo and they all enjoyed their fried chicken. I hope they will bring back the side chips. If you are craving for fried chicken, I would still recommend Momo and they open late too!

hi! so just to preface, i used to LOVE coming to the brisbane city location on the weekend. i used to come every couple weeks. i haven't come to the brisbane location in about 6 months until tonight. we noticed the sign that said "under new management" so i'm assuming these issues started when management changed.

we were confused about where to sit even though we booked a table and the server seemed just as confused as we were. i think this was just a breakdown in communication but it was an awkward start. the table was not set up and we weren't offered water (we were always offered a water pitcher and cups to have on the table previously), there were no plates on our table and even when a waitress was resetting plates at other tables, we weren't given any. we weren't given any kimchi and pickled radish (we were always offered this previously). and when i went into the drawer to get my chopsticks ready, there were none in there so i asked a server if they could grab some more for the drawer and they came back with the disposable ones for takeaway orders and filled the drawer with them (if she just handed me a pair, that would be fine but if the other tables receive the nicer chopsticks, i feel they all should).

the food portions are also very clearly smaller than they used to be and compared to any other momo chicken i have been to. for $20+ of chicken, i would expect more/larger pieces. this last thing might just be me but i much prefer being given the cans of sofa than a glass because i like mixing my soju with it in the cups they usually give for water.

we do really love coming here and maybe this was just a bad night but in all the times ive ever been, this was the worst...

I went to MOMO for chicken and grab some beer lightly with my brother 2 days ago on 03/11/2018. we ordered half-half chicken, seems like quite busy and staff said to wait for 20 min but after 20 min chicken served to girls who next to seat us who's come in 10min later than us also that is exactly same order what we did. brother and I told to staff we coming earlier than them and they already got the order. and staff talking with them and take them food.... and she said sorry that was the wrong table are you guys okay with take these ones and we will give extra 2 pieces of chicken what they ate it.... That is the worst customer service solution ever I seem entire whole my life..... we said no I don't want that meal someone already ate it. so we have to wait almost 40 min and she said sorry we give a soft drink (what ever...) but we can't see any soft drink service and we complain that problem when we paid. (not a surprise we did whole pay that chicken with that poor service and annoyed dinner) she said "sorry let me slide this time next time we will give good service," we said "no definitely won't be coming back. you guys obviously have poor customer service need to fix that for your business. do something monitoring staff or re-education...

I recommend Chi-Mac. it is not away from the city much better customer service they give a smile and care the customer at least.
