UPDATE: As promised, Monty’s credited full price on my account and I have redeemed my deal again and this time, the pizzas were delicious as usual.
Original: I can’t rate any lesser than this. I have had pizzas here many times since I have moved to North Parramatta and I used to boast in front my guests that Monty’s is the best pizza around Parramatta. I have ordered a Chicken tandoori and Chilli paneer pizzas tonight to treat my guests for a celebration. Both the pizzas were not baked and we could see the raw dough under the cheese layer. We have got the pizzas back to the store and explained the case and the staff said they would remake the pizzas. After about 50 mins of wait and a lot of confusion and frustration , the store manager said they would start making the pizzas then. Read moreI wanted to give it a 5, but i had to give it a 3. The food was easily a 5. But the service was questionable. We came and ordered our food, which we had to wait over half an hour for. We saw several people come and go with their orders. When i went to enquire the first time, after 20 minutes, one man half heartedly told me they're working on our last order. Which means our other orders had to have been waiting there for 20minutes! I asked again, this time 30 minutes have passed. They were avoiding eye contact with me. They even tried to avoid walking near me despite being in close proximety. I asked them twice "did you guys forget my order?" They didn't respond. I then had to peer through their side window and ask again "you guys forgot my order didn't you!". They didn't want to reply. Other workers were also dodging me. Guys, it's common decency to at the very least keep your customers on the loop and admit you made a mistake. I would rather have that then to be ignored that way. I had a very disappointing experience at Monty Pizza Shop in Parramatta, NSW. While sitting inside and sharing a laugh with my friend, the owner suddenly confronted us and started blaming us for laughing in the shop.
Instead of approaching us politely, the owner’s tone was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. We were simply enjoying our time as any customer would, but were treated with unnecessary hostility. This kind of behavior creates a very uncomfortable environment and shows a lack of respect towards paying customers.
A restaurant should be a place where people can relax, eat, and enjoy themselves—not a place where customers are scolded for something as harmless as laughing. Sadly, this attitude from the owner left a negative impression and spoiled...
