TERRIBLE EXPERIENCIA. SI NO SABES HABLAR ALEMÁN, NO VAYAS. MALA CALIDAD, IRRESPETUOSOS Y RACISTAS. HORRIBLE Y DESAGRADABLE...

What a pleasant surprise! After a few days between Austria and Germany, trying local cuisine, we wanted something else and decided to go for an Asian meal (one of my favourite cuisines). Found Kim 168 after a quick search on Google Maps and decided to head there. However, once we arrived, we hesitated a little given the less than inviting and busy 'hole in the wall' type of setting. The seating area was limited and crowded, so we thought of wandering around looking for an alternative. I'm so glad we didn't find anything else because on our way back it was a bit less crowded and we decided to go in! I had a simple Thai Green Curry with white rice and it was absolutely delicious! The right amount of spice and flavours that took me back to Thailand! I've had many Thai Green Curries over the years and this is the most authentic I've managed to find outside Thailand. Probably even better than some of the Green Curries I had there.

An absolutely unmissable restaurant if you're looking for some authentic...

Mr Kim himself took my order. very friendly and courteous, gave me a smile and facilitated payment process swiftly. He is a very diligent and hardworking man being the only chef with his wife helping out with Ad hoc chores. Do take note that his prices are EXTREMELY affordable in a city like Salzburg (let alone the entire Austria), ESPECIALLY in a location like old town where all prices are inflated. AND BEST OF ALL, IT IS PREPARED HOT from scratch and with pure effort by Mr Kim. Despite having many orders infront of me, Mr Kim diligently cooked up each other meticulously and im pretty sure his recipes are NOT instant (i.e fast microwave food) and instead homecooked with love. I had the chicken chow mein, the portion was INCREDIBLY generous (for me), a lot of chicken pieces as well. Don’t expect gourmet tasting food for the price, but it is tasty in its on way too. Nice hot, cheap meal to end my evening. Very...

Kim 168 is a quaint little eating place along an alley in Salzburg Old Town, reminiscent of the small eateries in Japan and Korea. It serves a combination of Japanese and Korean food. We ordered kimchi jigae and kimchi ramyeon, which were both great. The sashimi was also fresh and generous. The soups were awesome in the winter weather. The food place is mostly self service though and seating place is limited (don't think it can fit more than 10 people), but offers authentic enough Asian food.

A nice bistro restaurant hidden in the busy shopping street. CASH ONLY Ordered seafood ramen which is only for 9.8. Although it tastes like Korean instant noodles (spicy), I would still recommend it if you’re looking for quick food at okay price. The owner makes effort to cook the ramen nice, the noodles are just right with added in mussel, salmon, prawn and vegetables. However, didn’t realise this is cash only so have to withdraw some cash. Gladly there is a ATM nearby.

After a long day of sightseeing realized that Salzburg dining places generally wind down early. Trudging bck to hotel, found literally a "hole in the wall" 2 person diner offering a range of thai, chinese, vietnam, korean and japanese dishes. Opted to take away a breaded chicken in sweet sauce and tofu veggie pad thai stir fry. Both came with steamed rice; and all for under 15 euros. Portions were generous and steaming hot off the wok, both were yummy!
