Schade !!! NICHT ZU ESSEN QUALITY ... Aber Sachen erhitzt.
Inglese Nice idea and interesting concept at the marketing level. It looks like a fast food based on fish. Nice place in the center ... pity that it is a place to be avoided, I strongly discourage. The reason is simple! Expose the classic economic menu proposal, then propose themselves as a fast food PESCE ECONOMICO and instead is EXPENSIVE. Looking at the photos you can find part of the prices and not real ... look at the receipt! Shrimp at 119.90 euros the kg !!!! ... a good and good scam! Fish not fresh and 1 portion of shrimp - 1 portion of paella - 1 portion of salmon and potatoes - 1 beer radler (Look at the receipt) 57 euros ... no I say together with my wife (53 euros) .... 110 euros in two. A SHAME!!! NOT TO EAT QUALITY ... But heated stuff
Spagnolo. NO COMER CALIDAD ... Pero...
Read moreHaving visited a Nordsee outlet in Vienna where we had fried fish and which met our expectations of a fast food fish restaurant, we went ahead and tried the outlet in Getreidegasse, Salzburg. The food was of acceptable quality, but we were treated like absolute idiots. We tried to order the cold fresh seafood section this time thinking to have a light, healthy meal of fresh seafood. Here is where the issues begin.
We do not speak German and locals struggle to communicate in English. We are aware of this and relied mostly on basic English and hand gestures to communicate with locals and/or waiters. This is FINE. What is not fine is having literally nothing on the seafood section labelled, literally having not one of the seafood items priced and labelled. We saw pricings of a few items overhead on the blackboard but they were written in German. Now, whilst I do not expect to have the display in English, I do expect that at least the items on display HAVE A PRICE TAG ON THEM.
Myself and my wife saw some nice looking shrimp, and had 2 servings (4 shrimps~ 200g). Non chalantly, the person serving us handed us the plates, and instructed us to move to the payment station. There, we saw that 4 pieces of shrimp cost us 26€!!!! Seeing this, I politely asked the attendant at the payment station that we don't want the shrimp. His reply was shocking.
He said to us (in broken English) "sorry, since the plate of shrimp is on your side of the isle, you now HAVE to pay for it because of contamination concerns" Absolutely shocking. Disgusting behaviour. We were tricked into buying one of the most expensive items on the menu BECAUSE THE PRICE WAS HIDDEN FROM US. Then on top of it, once you confirm your order apparently, you have to pay for it. What happens if I refuse to pay and not eat the food? What if my card gets declined? Federal prison? Court? I'm sorry. This is very childish service of such a widespread chain.
Appalling customer service. I vowed never to set foot in any of the outlets again. Shameful...
Read moreThe staff here are rude and unhelpful, borderline shouting at customers to hurry up. There’s no proper menu on display as you enter, making it difficult unless if you’re already familiar with Nordsee offerings to know what you want, quickly. The lady at the counter shouted at customers and had little to no decorum - she made the place feel hostile. Very little food was on offer, so I settled for salmon with potato’s. The portion size was pathetic. For about €20 you can eat at a reasonable restaurant with good service and portion sizes etc, but this Nordsee is to reasonable restaurants what sodastreamed-ribena is to coca-cola. The staff looked fed up with the customers as though they were an inconvenience, it seems to be a culture within the shop as not one of them so much as smiled at any of my party during the entire interaction. As English speakers in Salzburg, I don’t expect to get things right the first time, but being in the heart of one of the most popular tourist hotspots of the city, every other store I went into, I was treated with great understanding, patience and politeness. Unfortunately, this courtesy has not yet reached the staff at Nordsee, who are rude, and make no effort to say anything in English despite clearly over-hearing that’s what we spoke. The lady at the front barked at us like a rabid dog, very aggressively and unprofessionally, making it much harder to understand anything she was saying (she knew what she was doing). The salmon and potatoes were mediocre. Not worth €20. Maybe 10-12. The environment was ruined by the ever-shouting staff who seem to be at odds with the world and everything around them. Overcharged one of us about 500% for a drink, and provided no receipt (this was only discovered upon reviewing transactions after leaving the restaurant). Pitiful service, the staff after the lady who billed us were unhelpful and made no effort to speak or even smile. I’d sooner swim into the North Sea with concrete boots, myself, than...
