I arrived on a Friday afternoon around 1:30 and they scrambled around behind the desk for several minutes and I was thinking I was at the wrong hotel. I asked them that question and they said I was at the right place but they didn't have a cleaned room available yet. I asked how long I would need to wait and they told me an hour. I said no problem I will come back. They offered to hold my small suitcase so I didn't have to carry it around. When I returned there was no one behind the desk for several minutes and the clerk came back and gave me a room key. I forgot about my suitcase until I got to my room and when I didn't see it I had to go back down to grab it. It's partially my fault for forgetting about it but having it placed in my room would have been a nice touch. The hotel itself is tiny and the rooms are the size of shoe boxes. The shower shampoo and body soap dispensers were empty. The air conditioner made a ticking noise and I could hear music off from a distance. The next day they didn't clean my room. I specifically told the desk clerk about the shower soap but those were not replenished either. They immediately fixed everything but I shouldn't of had to remind them. The door keys are big and awkward to carry in your pocket and finally the street the hotel is on is in disrepair. It's cheap compared to staying as Naga so I guess I shouldn't complain but the place shouldn't be rated 9.1 out of 10 and somehow listed as 4 stars in same areas on the internet. The lobby is immaculate but the floors could use an update. My closet safe was not fastened to the floor so it could be easily removed and broken in to. Finally they indicate available wireless but you have to pay extra for...
Read moreReasonably priced hotel Breakfast eggs any style however in my view they can't cook over easy more over hard still edible salad and a few vegetables bacon and sausage on different days however the food that's supposed to be hot, super cold and nothing to do with me being late. Starts daily 6am until 10am and 2 days I was there at 6am the other other days 7am still the same and only appeared to be 1 (me) and maybe 1 or 2 others at breakfast. My main disappointment was at check in I was taken to my room on 6th floor room 603 superior with breakfast the young man showed me how to operate AC safe tv etc which was nice however AC did not go cold. No phones in room so back to the lobby spoke with him and he returned to room he pushed couple buttons turned it off and on and said it's working, away he goes i waited 10 minutes it's blowing hot air I opened filter door and OMG I couldn't believe my eyes how disgustingly filthy the filters were. You could not see through them and I would guess that they have never been cleaned. I washed them myself then the AC became cool. I spoke with same guy and another man was with him I explained what I did and the other man suggested if I could go to other rooms and clean them over the next day or so it became a laughing matter and the same man 2 days later made a joke that he was going to transfer me to another room I said why and he stated so you can clean that AC Needless to say I wasn't impressed The other man I found out was the actual hotel manager... Anyways that aside hotel pleasant staff exceptionally friendly apart from manager Breakfast staff super nice and helpful kind of too helpful...
Read moreWe stayed at King Grand Boutique Hotel for 2 nights during the first week of June 2018 and our deluxe room was very spacious and neatly kept. AC took a while to get cold else it was great. We had many choices for buffet breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Central market and other important land marks are not very far. Tuk Tuk is always available in the front of the hotel. You can find many restaurants (viz Nepalese, Indian, Cambodian and more) in the vicinity of the hotel. We took two Tours and they were arranged by the hotel staff. Trip to the silk island was very good. Cruise to the island and the free local cold beer served on board will remain unforgettable. We had a professional guide and she was very humble, polite and respectful. They served delicious traditional Cambodian lunch by the riverside. We met an Australian couple (MRS AND MR WAYNE from Melbourne) during our trip to the Island and they were so good to us. Hotel arranged the return transfers also and it was around USD 15.00 per sector. We are Indian nationals and 1 month visa at a charge of USD 30.00 is available on arrival. Visa Rule and visa charge might change without notice so it is a must to verify with the consulate before travelling. You need to carry a passport size photo for applying visa at the airport. Staying at your hotel, it was indeed a wonderful...
