Read moreWe ordered a lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl. Never have I ever (and I’ve had lots of Vietnamese food in my life) has a lemongrass chicken been so disappointing. It tasted like a plain chicken breast was just stir fried up with the bottom of the lemongrass marinade and not seasoned. It was too spicy for our son to eat. It was dry and lacked love and flavour.
The lady on the phone didn’t really know the dishes either. Maybe she’s new? She’s definitely not Vietnamese. She also didn’t acknowledge my wife when she was standing there waiting to pick up her order. Then she continued to ask “have you been helped?” 🙄
Since when do restaurants stop providing utensils and napkins when picking up food to go? she was heavily annoyed when we asked because we couldn’t feel them in the bag. Sure thing once we got to the park where we ate we only had one set of utensils and one napkin….🙄
Please make food with love! And if you run out of marinated chicken. Say so and we can order something else.
And please ask your customers if they need utensils when picking up. If it’s a zero waste thing that’s great, but some people are eating in the car, work, park, beach etc. not all good picked up gets eaten at...
Read moreI order takeout from this specific Bamboo Chopsticks location all the time and have truly never been disappointed. I went in today to dine-in for my first time and was so happy with the experience, that I felt it was time to leave a review. The several staff who served us were all so friendly, courteous and happy. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food is always top notch; healthy and affordable too! I usually get one of the variety of the vermicelli bowls, always loved and recommend the beef BBQ one, however it is not gluten free, so i stick to the Spring Roll bowl which is so fantastic! Most of this restaurant’s menu caters to Gluten Free diets, which really keeps me coming back. Dining in today, I tried a Lemongrass beef bowl (GF) which is often recommended to me and it was great, especially if you like a little spice. Make sure to try their Spring Rolls as I think they may be the...
