I came here for a Brazilian sugaring after having been completely butchered at another salon, and I have to say it was the most pleasant experience in the past four years. The aesthetician was so professional, the room was spotless, the music was relaxing, and not a single hair was missed. The time spent getting it done was perfect- it did not feel rushed, and at the same time I didn’t feel any irritation from going over the same spots. She kept me distracted by talking with me the entire time, and I have to say it was the least painful experience so far, and the most comfortable (as we all know Brazilians, especially with a new aesthetician, aren’t always the most comfortable). I will definitely be a repeating customer for as long as they are around, and am so happy that I read the google reviews before going. If you are thinking of trying sugaring or changing aestheticians, this is a fantastic option that you...
Read moreThe Green Spa is actually at the back of a Hairdressing Salon. The place is clean and nicely decorated. The staff is polite and pleasant. I had a 50% off coupon for my choice of services. I booked a pedicure which is normally $45. The service performed was "okay" but frankly I was a little put off when my bill came to $36.75. I was expecting under $25. This means the normal price was $70!! That is an excessive price for the service rendered. I explained that I needed my toes cleaned as they tend to become ingrown. Very little cleaning of dead skin was done on my toes. Most of the attention was given to the soles. A Paraffin treatment was given although I never asked for it and I suppose I should of asked at the time if it was included. Just be aware of the sneaky upsell and make sure you are very clear on what you want done or you may be paying more than you...
Read moreI recently had a Brazilian wax experience, and while the process was quick, it didn't effectively remove all the hair. Most of my hair ended up being trimmed, and the regrowth was slower than expected, requiring an 8-week wait instead of the anticipated 6 weeks. It would have been helpful if these details were communicated beforehand.
Unfortunately, there were hygiene concerns as the studio didn't sanitize properly before starting. Is this a common practice in Canada? I'd appreciate recommendations for a more reputable place.
Additionally, the studio was quite small, and I found myself uncomfortably exposed by having to spread my legs at the door. It was an experience I'd rather not repeat. I won't be returning, and for future waxing, I'll explore options...
