My husband and I visited Costa Rica for our honeymoon. We always knew that we wanted our children to see and do everything that Costa Rica has to offer. This was their second trip to Costa Rica and first trip planned by Costa Rica for Kids. Vanessa planned our entire trip from beginning to end. She was quick to respond to questions and easily made itinerary changes and updates based on travel dates, budget and the needs of our children.

We visited Manuel Antonio and La Fortuna during our vacation. I am so grateful that this trip included private transfers (no rental car or diving this time). This saved so much time and allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worry. The transfers and guides were top notch. We were always picked up on time with a guide waiting to greet us. We had the same guides for a couple of tours which was nice because they really got to know our sons and even surprised them with a stop to see sloths! This was a highlight for my son Maxi, who had been learning about Costa Rican wildlife since before arriving in Costa Rica.

Our guides spoke English and also took the time to practice Spanish with both of my sons! Our sons learned so much on this vacation from animal facts to plant identification. These guides know it all! We did a night hike which was a highlight for both of my sons, hiking in the jungle in the dark, exploring all the nightlife especially the frogs.

One of the highlights for our family was the Safari Float tour where we saw the Basilisk lizard running on the water across the river. I don’t think my son King will ever forget that moment. After the safari float we made our way for a cultural experience, tortilla making with Dona Mara. When I spoke with Vanessa to plan this trip I told her how important it was for our children to experience the Costa Rican culture, its people, food and customs. This tour was hands down just that! While my young son played with toys and Dona Mara`s granddaughter the rest of us got suited up in the kitchen for the tortilla making showdown! It was a day I will never forget!

As parents, travelling with two children, we were so grateful for all the hard work Vanessa put into planning our trip, for following up upon arrival as well as using her expertise to make this a memorable family vacation.. Bartlett Family Multi-generational Costa Rican Vacation - Kids 9 and 6.

A DREAM CHRISTMAS family Vacation! THANK YOU Costa Rica for Kids for planning our multi-generational vacation to Costa Rica. Costa Rica for Kids provided peace of mind and ensured a worry free vacation, we expected everything would be taken care of and it was.

Traveling to Costa Rica with our two adult daughters, son in law and two young grandsons (aged 9 and 6) was a concern due to the many new travel restrictions while traveling during 2020. Not knowing what to expect under the circumstance our contact Melissa was able to answer our every question in a timely and professional manner. Melissa worked diligently to provide all of the accommodations and tours we were looking for within the budget we had set out. Thank you!

Our guides and drivers were very professional and they arrived on time for pick up consistently ensuring we always arrived at our next location in adequate time for check in. The transfer vans were comfortable, clean and safe. Our guide, Savi, spoke English well and was able to translate for us when needed, Savi also helped us learn Spanish along the way! This was excellent for my grandsons who picked up the language easily. I highly recommend when traveling with a family, to include private transfers from location to location. Private transfer allowed us the freedom to take our time and stop along the way for the kids to see sloths and monkeys in the trees and Arbol De La Paz (the Tree of Life), a much needed rest from the winding roads.

We visited the beach in Guanacaste where the boys did surf lessons in the morning and explored the sea in the afternoon, snorkeling and playing at the beach. After the beach visit we took private transfer to La Fortuna for Christmas, it was wildlife exploration and adventure, from night hikes to canopy tours there was excitement for everyone! Our highlight of this portion of the trip, Eden Chocolate tour, where the boys picked cacao right from the tree to open and taste! It was an educational tour for all to find out how chocolate is created. Thank you to our guides for ensuring the kids were up front and center to participate in the process and eat the yummy treats (Grandpa may have been right up there too!)

Adventure Family Vacation (ages 6 & 8)

When we told our kids we were going to Costa Rica they were ecstatic. Our kids love adventure and they have been waiting for some time to see monkeys and sloths in real life. We booked our vacation with Costa Rica for Kids, the family FUN experts! We knew that we wanted to incorporate as many family adventure tours into this trip as we love the outdoors and being active.

Melissa created an itinerary that had me feeling like a child! Ziplining, white water rafting, waterfall rappelling and more! When people say, Costa Rica has it all, it’s an understatement. This place has EVERYTHING and more! Preparing for our family vacation was easy and enjoyable all thanks to Melissa. She provided all the necessary information from what to pack, where to stay and what to do! I was confident upon arrival that this would be the best trip we had ever been on as a family.

Meeting our drivers and guides felt like meeting family. They greeted us with as much excitement as we arrived with! The transfers to and from locations (airport, hotels & tours) were always on time, clean and safe. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, answering the hundreds of questions our kids asked throughout the vacation!

It is hard to choose a highlight from our vacation as every part of it was full of excitement and adventure. The canopy zip line tour was incredible! It had us flying over the jungle with 360 degree views! We were also able to see wildlife like toucans from the platforms.
