We stumbled across this place on our search to find some Croatian wine to try. There was out door seating in the sun although it is located in one of the old towns narrow streets so not sure how long it gets the sun. We opted to sit inside, it was decorated nicely in a rustic European quirky way. Some tables were barrels and it was comfortable and welcoming. We were greeted by a younger girl who was very friendly. We opted for a white wine flight for 60k, this included 3 wines, 50ml of each and a tasting card explaining the type of grape, growing conditions and taste. They arrived and the staff member explained each wine. We also ordered a cheese and charcuterie board which was delicious with homemade breads, olives etc. It was a great experience, so much so we returned twice to try the red wine flight and then to try the other food board which included stuffed peppers and vine leaves stuffed with rice. The last time we went in the girl recognised us and welcomed us back. She talked about how she lived in old town and was very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone :)

This place is incredible, the staff is kind and it’s the type of place that gets a whole table to start singing the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard. You simply can not miss it

We stopped in here when it was pouring rain (which apparently doesn’t happen often in Croatia) and it truly lifted our spirits even though the weather had ruined some other plans. What a fun spot, the staff are hilarious and incredibly friendly. There are so many wines to choose from and they are really helpful with picking recommendations based on your palate, or if you’re not that into wine and want to just try something new they’re good at picking that too! Unfortunately there was another American couple who came in that was incredibly rude to them and we felt so bad, but wow did they handle them with such grace. The customer service here was truly unmatched. And the wine selection is really good. You can get by the glass or they also have wine flight options if you’re looking to try multiple. If we didn’t have dinner plans later in the day we would have stayed for hours. It may have been a rainy day but we will have fond memories of D’Vino Wine Bar and if we are ever back in Dubrovnik we will absolutely be stopping in.

I can only state my (and my girlfriend’s) experience as there are a lot of good reviews on here.

We ordered two wine flights (one with the vintage whites, and a red). When the flights were brought out, we were informed that the wines they were giving us were not actually the ones that were advertised on the menu and we had not been warned or informed about this beforehand (red flag 1).

The white wine sampler - instead of having all older vintages as described in the menu, had only one older vintage and two much newer (one was as new as 2023). Newer vintages can often be nice, but this sampler was ordered specifically because of the older vintages.

The red wine sampler again had a replacement wine, not having the one I really wanted (the Zinfandel). No apologies for this and no explanation before hand. Being good sports, we wanted to be ok with it hoping the wines were nice anyway.

Unfortunately this was not the case - both our first wines were bitter tasting. Ok maybe not our thing - we finished the glasses, then took a sip of our second glasses. Same thing - bitter. Put that down and tried our third - same thing. They tasted odd and even oxidized, and honestly the white which was the only older vintage and was described as being a sweeter wine was the worst of all of them.

I went up to one of the staff (she seemed like the manager) to ask if something was wrong. I was only greeted with rudeness, saying not all wines are for everyone (again, why we went and finished the first glasses) and that we shouldn’t have drank the wines and mentioned it earlier if we didn’t like them (there were clearly four full glasses with only 1-2 sips out of them still on the table).

We’ve done quite a few wine tastings and this is the only one where literally every wine was barely drinkable and even that’s being generous. Instead of trying to see if there was a problem we were made to feel as if we were at fault.

The only redeeming factor is we did not have to pay but were essentially told to leave the bar. This was quite unlike the service of any other place we have been. I’m not really one to complain about things ever, but this was the worst experience we’ve had in not just Dubrovnik, but all of our travels...

I was well excited to try this wine bar. We came for a glass of wine during the lunchtime before booking the experience in the evening. Service was arrogant. Once Ive asked if we can have a drink outside I was told that its a wine bar and they sell ONLY wine. Thanks for expaining, but I can figure it out myself and on the other hand Ive never asked for orange juice did I? We asked for some recommendation and we were given that. Since they presented themselves as WINE BAR I would expect more passion about wine not a bland: this is fruity or this is mineral. We were sitting outside and then we were asked to move a bit because we were blocking the door/entrance of peoples accomodation. We didnt move any tables before sitting down and didnt see that the little door; didnt even know that someone lives there. Maybe its time to re-design your table layout? Wine was ok, but nothing to die for. It looks like that they are tired of tourists and cant be asked. There are much better wine bars in the old town. In general, wine in Croatia is amazing, you can try it everywhere and you dont even need to be called WINE BAR. Good luck...
