Hard to say. I enjoyed my flight though it was a poor landing at the farm and almost hurt my knees. Also, I was sent to a small balloon and took off pretty late when everybody else on the same boat remained together and departed early. I suspected that they directly singled me out as I was a solo female traveller and looked easy to negotiate with. Still I happily accepted and enjoyed the “private” ride, and most of the staff were friendly. But the worst thing happened when I asked about the certificate, which I didn’t receive. This is no big deal. However, the agent who help arranged this ride literally said it was my “fault” not to ask for the certificate onsite. Even in this case he was so ridiculous that he kept asking me to recommend him to others. Regardless if this guy was an in-house member of the company, the staff should really pay attention to their attitude. Otherwise the company should not work with such people because they could damage the brand and reputation...
Read moreWe have mixed feeling about this company. We booked a hot air balloon ride in Luxor as part of a 2-week tour of Egypt. The flight happened without a hitch but the experience was not pleasant. As part of the package, the transport from and to the site was included and the whole process was unpleasant. First, they brought us by minivan to the east bank of the Nile to transfer us to the west bank by motorboat. Then from the west bank, we rode another minivan to the site located in the valley of the kings. The purpose of this is unclear but it is completely unnecessary as the return trip did not include this boat transfer as there is a nearby bride to cross the Nile. The said boat transfer made us late to the site which means we had to run in order to catch our flight.
We really wanted to experience this so in the end we are still happy but the experience and customer service could...
Read moreMeh- we just returned from this ride this morning and it had none of the magic that other balloon rides I’ve taken have held. It was rushed, hurried, frantic, felt unsafe with over 30 guests in the basket, teaching us the brace position for landings. Worst part it was supposed to be a 45 minute ride and it was 12 at the most, at least 1/2 of that we were at 50 feet or less. It felt more like a scam than a balloon ride- so many many many people and balloons in one area that it felt very unsafe, crossing over power lines, hitting trees. I would avoid any rides in Luxor and specifically ask how many people they have in their baskets ahead of time. Best part? Being back on the...
