I appreciated the concept of the fashion show, but I have concerns regarding the model selection. Specifically, I was alarmed to see three female models who appeared to be very underweight, with one model displaying visible bones on her chest.

As a show accessible to the general public, including mothers with young daughters, I believe it's essential to promote positive body images. It's crucial to select models that reflect healthy beauty standards. One can be slender and be a fashion model without being anorexic.

The fashion industry, and Lafayette specifically, have a responsibility to avoid perpetuating harmful beauty ideals in times of rising concerns in a social media culture. There are many talented models who embody slender yet healthy physiques, providing alternative and positive role models for young women.

I hope you'll take these concerns seriously and make a conscious effort to select models that promote positive body image for future shows.

Very cool to see a défilé from the front row, even though the styles are far too young for me now. Interesting to watch the models on the runway - the mom in me wanted to tell them all to stand up straight! But I guess this is the way of high fashion now.
