🛎️ Glarros OldTown Hotel – Honest Review (Visited 2025) 📍 15 Kote Apkhazi Street, Old Town, Tbilisi
Location The hotel is in the heart of Old Tbilisi, just a short walk from Liberty Square. You can reach restaurants, shops, and tourist spots easily on foot. Perfect for sightseeing and shopping.
Rooms – Modern & Clean Rooms are spacious, very clean, and have a stylish design. Beds are comfortable, and everything feels new. The air-conditioning works well, and the bathroom has high-quality toiletries.
Staff – Friendly & Helpful Reception is open 24/7. Staff speak English and are polite. They helped with early check-in and gave free breakfast when there was a delay.
Breakfast – Good Variety Breakfast includes Georgian and European options. Fresh coffee, fruits, eggs, pastries. Not a huge buffet, but enough to start your day well.
Lobby & Design – Artistic Touch The lobby smells fresh (lemon scent!) and looks beautiful. There’s a brass staircase and mosaic art inspired by Georgian architecture. It feels elegant but not too fancy.
Restaurant – Gastromania The hotel has a restaurant with a glass atrium. Food is a mix of Georgian and European dishes. The coffee machine is a vintage Italian model, and the beans are top quality.
Business & Tech – Great for Work There’s a small meeting room. Also, a business corner with iMacs available 24/7. Wi-Fi is fast and free.
Extra Spaces – Patio & Chill Zones There’s an outdoor patio where you can relax with a drink. It’s quiet and peaceful—great after a long day of walking.
Cleanliness – Top Marks Everything from the sheets to the lobby is spotless. Even the bed linens are scented. Housekeeping does a great job.
Final Thoughts – Worth It Whether you're visiting for fun or work, Glarros OldTown is a great choice. Clean, stylish, and close to everything. I’d...
Read moreStayed at this hotel for a week. The location is very convenient - the very center of the city, all attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are quite large, the mattresses and pillows are comfortable. Room cleaning is daily and thorough. Breakfast is good, the dishes change. You can take bottled water. Rooms overlooking the church will be the quietest as they face the courtyard, not the street, which is quite noisy both day and night.|The impression of the hotel was very spoiled by the disco that the hotel organized on Friday. Tickets for it were sold in advance for 100 GEL (about 30 euros). On the day of the disco we found a message in our room that from 10 pm to 4 am (!) there will be a holiday where all hotel guests are invited for free. Then we realized that it was rather a warning, because it was impossible to sleep that night and it was useless to complain, we were warned and invited! The music was blaring until almost half past five in the morning, the bed was shaking. This attitude to the guests is unacceptable, in fact the hotel earned at the expense of the fact that we spent a sleepless night. I sympathize with those guests who had to leave...
Read moreI have only good things to say about this hotel, my only caveat being that (like most tourists) I used it mostly as a place to sleep. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the middle of everything in Tbilisi. I didn't try the breakfast but it looked good, and is served till 11am which is handy if you've been out till late the night before. The vibe is fresh, with some bold design touches. Everyone at Reception was friendly and spoke good English. The room was clean, with ample lighting. The bed was fine, and not too soft. There were two complimentary bottles of water, and they got replenished every day. I did have a problem with the quilt being too hot at night, but I have this problem with quilts in hotels generally (and I'm sure they'd have changed it if I had asked).I stayed 4 nights and one of those happened to be my birthday. I obviously didn't mention it to anyone, but when I came back to the room that evening I found a complimentary slice of cake from the hotel, with 'Happy birthday' written in chocolate! I thought that was a...
