A very beautiful place, but a very bad restaurant. We ordered a Margherita pizza for the child, we always order Margherita pizza everywhere. The pizza turned out to be spicy. We informed the waiter and the manager about this. The manager said that they are not obliged to warn customers about the spiciness of a Margherita pizza, although by definition it should not be spicy. They are indifferent to their customers. I do not recommend this place.
By the way, the khinkali were also not good, funny as it may sound, they seemed completely without spices.
Here is the continuation of the story. After dinner in this “wonderful” establishment, my whole family got food poisoning. Most likely it was poor-quality khinkali and spoiled meat. What hurts the most is our 5-year-old child, who had to be taken by ambulance at 1 am in the morning. We were subjected to painful procedures and drips. It was simply horrific.
Many thanks to the hosts of the hotel where we stayed – Art Home Hotel. When the owner found out we had eaten at the restaurant located on one of the central streets with many cafe, he said it had been a very bad idea, since people often get poisoned there. Usually, in such cases, the ambulance is supposed to call the police and initiate an investigation into food poisoning. But as you may know, because of corruption in Georgia, we had no chance. All we can do now is warn people...
Read moreFriends House! Lives up to its name! This was our favourite place to chill, drink some wine and have a little fun during our 5 day trip to Tbilisi!
The ambience was so cute! This has to be the best one on the street near Sioni Cathedral! They had live music on Thursday night - the performer was amazing! The outside seating (where you’d want to ideally sit) tends to get packed quick so go in early!
Food and drinks are good here and prices are quite reasonable (not cheap but not too expensive either)! We tried the kachapuri, Khinkali, Ojakhuri which were all very nice however we also tried their Milk Garlic Chicken with Bread, Mexican potatoes and pepperoni pizza as one can get quite bored with the local cuisine.
Now let’s get to the person who made our experience so memorable! TATIA! What a gem of a person! The friendliest, most attentive and knowledgeable server I have ever experienced! She was so graceful and every time we came in she greeted us with a smile and a welcome where we actually felt we’ve come to our friends house! She speaks English so it was easy to get good food and wine recommendations from her! If you’re going here! ASK FOR TATIA! You will not be...
Read moreFor describing the experience as real as possible, I will be fully honest. First time I came to the restaurant, I felt the staff a bit cold, I felt like i waited a bit longer than expected for the food, but once the food came and once I had a few interactions with the people working here, everything changed. From the first sip of wine, and the first gulp of Shkmeruli it all started going upwards. The food is so amazing that is worth waiting way more than the few minutes that i did, the staff is unique, with personality, human and helpful, the prices are more than affordable and the place is beautiful. A genuine Georgian place, as soon as you get closer, as you taste, as you know, something amazing happens, you meet real food, real people. I'm impressed.
For the restaurant, thank you for being in our way, please don't change the apple pie, I want to bring my kids here to eat it when I will have them, and to Niko, thank you for your radiant attitude, your charisma and your time, to all the other staff members that I didn't take the names because I was spechless from how good the food was, God bless you! Love...
