We stayed at Qarvasla Hotel, Tbilisi during our October 2024 trip and had a memorable experience overall. The hotel’s location is truly amazing—right in the center of Tbilisi, just a short walk from the Bridge of Peace and in the middle of the Old Town. During our stay, the Harvest Festival stalls were set up nearby, which made the area lively and festive. |The street beside the hotel is popular and lined with pretty cafés. There are also two convenience stores & medical shops nearby, plus a branch of the famous Lumier’s Chimney Cake, perfect for a sweet treat. For those looking for vegetarian food, there are plenty of options and even Indian restaurants within walking distance.|The hotel design really stood out—a lovely blend of Moorish architecture with modern, minimal touches. Both the exterior and interior are stunning, chic, and understated. The backyard of the property is another highlight—peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained, making it a great spot to relax after sightseeing.|Our room experience was a bit mixed due to the busy festival season. On our late-night arrival, we were given a different room than the one we booked—it wasn’t as aesthetic as in the pictures, though the shower was excellent. The next day we were moved to a prettier room, but unfortunately, the heater wasn’t working. Since the hotel was full, the staff provided us with a personal heater, which was thoughtful. However, the washroom door didn’t close properly, and the lack of a designated shower area meant water spread across the bathroom floor. On our final night, we were shifted to a higher-category room, which was beautiful, warm, and cozy, with a clean washroom and plenty of hot water—ending our stay on a very comfortable note.|The breakfast spread was very good, offering mainly Georgian dishes along with continental options. Everything we tried was tasty and fresh. The hotel was also very clean throughout, and the staff were consistently pleasant, friendly, and helpful, always trying their best to accommodate us despite the busy season.|Overall, Qarvasla Hotel combines a prime Old Town location, chic architecture, and warm hospitality. While some room facilities could use improvement, the atmosphere, cleanliness, and service make it a charming and memorable place to...

Read moreGreat Design, But Service Needs Improvement
Qarvasla Hotel has a lot going for it, the design of the hotel is of a very high standard. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the breakfast selection is excellent. However, as a newly opened hotel (2024), it’s clear that the service side still needs significant development.
During our stay, we experienced several issues that suggest better staff training is urgently needed: • Our room wasn’t cleaned despite the housekeeping sign being on the door for two days. • Requested a minivan from the airport and they sent a 16 seater bus for just me • We were placed in a room right next to loud music that played until 11 PM, which was especially difficult with young children. • We were questioned about minibar usage just two minutes after checkout, even though we had clearly stated we hadn’t used it. • We were asked to pay cash for a transfer instead of being able to charge it to the room. • A bottle of wine we ordered took 20 minutes to arrive — well after we had finished eating. • The laundry slip in our room had already been filled out by a previous guest, dated three months earlier.
While the staff were polite and seemed to be trying, the overall experience felt unpolished and inconsistent. With proper training and attention to detail, Qarvasla could truly live up to its design and location as a 5* hotel. I’d love to return, but only if service...
