Charming Asian and Japanese fusion restaurant with beautiful aesthetics. Loved the painted wall murals, pretty lanterns and twinkle lights. Busy vibe with efficient service. Meals served relatively quickly despite high number of patrons. Gyoza was very nice. Beef, vegetable stir-fry with rice was served piping hot and delicious. Chicken hokkien with bean shoots, carrots, spring onion and dried shallots was tasteless and quite bland as if the seasoning or sauce was accidentally forgotten. There was no mint, minimal corriander, no lime, fresh chilli, fish sauce or brown rice wine vinegar incorporated. Shrimp paste? Very unusual to not have these flavours in Southern Asian/Vietnamese cuisine. Very generous serves however. The mixed sushi plates looked delicious and all meals were beautifully presented. The 'no nonsense' mature waitress did our card payment transaction very quickly and before we had the opportunity to see the itemised account which was only available on her handheld device! Our fault for not intervening quicker. We also gave a 10% tip without knowing if a service fee had already been incorporated. We only ordered a large bottled water (which we had no choice over) and we didn't order alcohol. Overall price came out a little more than expected for two mains, one serve of gyoza and one bottled water. Please kindly provide customers with an itemised account prior to transactions in future. We came here because of the good rating and I have to say we’re really disappointed. The staff does not care, they did not ask whether we liked the food or needed anything (we could tell they are under qualified). On top of the bad service the sushi was really bad as well. The fried vegetarian option tasted okey, but mainly because it was deep fried and very oily. We also had some fish sushi which tasted so bad that we couldn’t finish it. All in all I would clearly not recommend coming here for sushi, it’s just a waste of money and the staff also clearly doesn’t care if...
