HOPAHOLIC Craft Beer Bar & Food Budapest — Restaurant in Budapest

I'm editing my review because I haven't been in a while, partly because the focus of the menu has moved quite a bit further towards imports of speciality beers from around Europe and increasingly the USA...some of the prices of said beers are definitely beyond what many locals would be able to pay outside of very special occasions (Significant north of 10 Euros for a 0.3l increasingly common). That's not to say they're overpriced, but a night drinking there could be expensive. You can generally get a proper lager/pils for about 1500, & when Dreher goes for 1000 in the local aea routinely thesedays I can't tell you that's bad. But I would suggest checking the menu before you go, because it's not like there's a Session IPA on the current menu whereas a year ago there would have been. No complaints, the business has to adapt to the times and the tourist money is the target - wish those who operate it nothing but the best. But I felt I had to edit the review to reflect the current menu. I'll probably pop in for a happy hour during the Summer, when they have something I really, really have to try. Csakajósör nearby is ran by the same team and has a slightly less radical selection at somewhat lower prices and might be a better bet for some - though...

Best place in Budapest if you like craft beer. They have a great selection of 10 different styles of beers on tap. And also have a very big selection of beers in bottle or can that are cooled and ready to drink or take home. But the best part about this bar is the staff. The guys really are passionate about what they do and what they sell. So they can give you great advice in what to drink. And they are just great guys to talk to and have a laugh with. They really make you feel welkom and make your stay unforgettable. So do yourself a favor and just go...

Discriminative place and arrogant waiters. In front of me hungarian speaking guy ordered a cocktail, which they have in menu. When I asked for the same, but in english, the waiter refused to serve me and told that they are a beer bar and don`t serve cocktails (which are present in menu), although she just did that cocktail on my eyes. Never back. Evidence attached :)
