As we were meandering through Como, my fiancé and I came across Nicoletta - what a gift to be able to do so! If you're looking for excellent food and a wonderful experience to go with it, do yourself a favor and walk in the welcoming doors of Nicoletta!

The shop is stocked with a plethora of unique treats from Valle d'Aosta, all absolute delights to the senses, including devine cheeses, meats, drinks, and so much more. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the high caliber of product, and we couldn't resist taking a few home, along with two excellently crafted (and surprisingly affordable!) panini (pictured here).

If the incredible selection were not enough, you also get to meet Biago, one of the kindest people we've ever met in Como. Everything he does is done with thoughtfulness and care, not only with the treasures found in the shop, but for every person who walks in the door! This was immediately apparent by the way he was thoughtfully crafting plates of meat and cheese selections for a group of guests dining outside (which we can't wait to return to try), while still taking the time to talk with us, and having us sample the delectable pieces of culinary art tucked behind the glass case!

Outstanding Cheese、Ham and Sandwiches! I can’t stop raving about this delightful shop! The owner greeted me with warm smiles and impeccable service, guiding me through their mouthwatering menu. I opted for their signature cheese and ham sandwich, and boy, was I in for a treat! Each bite was a perfect harmony of cheese and ham, sandwiched between two slices of perfectly toasted bread. The ingredients were undoubtedly fresh, and the portion size was generous, leaving me completely satisfied. What truly sets this place apart is their attention to detail and commitment to quality. Unassuming little place from the outside, it looks like they only sell cheese, but the man makes AMAZING sandwiches! (Panini) he has an easy menu with different cheeses and charcuterie, which are numbered, you just say the number you want for your sandwich, highly recommended! The bread is light, fresh and crunchy and top notch ingredients. You cannot see his counter and he spends some time on your sandwich, and when you get it, a big surprise how he packages each sandwich: wrapped in paper, then in a nice napkin and he ties it all with a string, very romantic and artisanal.
