The instructor, Yasue, is a trained expert in the craft and was very acommodating and easy-to-understand as she showed me and my family how to make each sweet. She would even explain the history of the sweets and the techniques that were developed to make them over hundreds of years. If you are looking for a hands-on experience during your stay Kyoto this is the place to go!

We booked a small group Japanese dessert making / cooking class and it was fantastic, engaging, educational, and tasty! The teacher is incredibly kind & patient and sets you up for success on creating impressive desserts (I am NOT a baker but I was extremely impressed!)

The timing for our group was a reasonable time because the dough was prepared ahead of time and no cooking/baking was required for our desserts: create, decorate, eat!

Definitely recommended for a unique Japanese...
