The store is not that large with crowds of eager buyers rushing around. Even without the crowds, the merch is incredibly disappointing.
The merch is as inspiring as a 1$ dollar store, hardly any thought behind what fans want. A lot of the merch looks poorly manufactured with a price that is questionable.
If you’re a fan of Ghibli’s movies besides Howl’s Castle and Neighbour Toro, you’ll be incredibly disappointed. Hardly any merch (or love) for Princess Mononoke and Spirted Away.
Plus the photo opportunities with the statues are lacking - the lighting is awful, the shadows on everyone’s face looks bad. They could have hired a proper lighting designer for the store.
