I made bad deals so you don’t have to. Was heading to ski in Tomamu after a short few days in Osaka and realised that I’m not equipped for -18degree Celsius weather. Went to shop in Osaka JR station and thought that I had a pretty good deal at Mont Bell because I got Merino wool at 2420 Jpy. But to my horror, you can find way better deal at Workman Namba. (See pictures) for 25% of the price!!! I tried to make myself feel better - maybe the more expensive pair from Mont Bell had more wool. But both had 60%!!!! Ok; if you are pressed for time and don’t want to shop around this should work. But if you have extra 20 minutes to space, go to Workman @Namba - you won’t regret!

Cashier staff were quite nice, but not those in the aisles.

There was a moment when two of the staff kept following me, like they didn’t trust me. I just tagged it as benefit of the doubt, but still I didn’t feel comfortable and welcome at all. 車で行くとグランフロント北館の地下駐車場をいつも使います。今回もそのつもりで訪問。駐車場は混雑の表示だったけれど、並ぶこともなく、駐車スペースもすぐに見つかりました。北館の駐車場から南館へは２階の連絡橋を使って移動し、そこから私はエスカレーターで５階に上がりました。モンベルは最も南側にあるため、エスカレーターを降りてすぐには店舗を視認できませんが、左、左と通路を曲がるとすぐにわかると思います。店舗事態はそれほど大きくなく、それが故に目的のものがある場合には非常に探しやすいと感じて気に入っています。私はランニングをするので、ランニング用のバックパックを見れたりして楽しいです。また、キッズ用のものもそれなりに品揃えがあり、グランフロント内の(イオンなどに入っている店舗に比べて)狭小店舗にしては上手く商品をチョイスして販売しているという印象です。もしこの店舗になければJR大阪駅西側高架したの店舗があるのでそちらで探すことになりますが、グランフロントの駐車場を利用した場合は寄らない...
