Onitsuka Tiger Namba City — Local services in Osaka

I visited the outlet, planning to buy shoes for both my husband and me. We wanted to try the shoes and sat briefly on the sofa to test the fit. Then, the staff named H. Ueda told us to move and said the seat was for her customer instead.

I was honestly shocked. Aren’t we customers too? It wasn’t what she said, but how she said it with a dismissive tone and expression. A simple, polite request to make some space would have been enough. Or she could’ve just asked the other customer’s husband to stand since he wasn’t buying, instead of making us feel unwelcome.

It really ruined the shopping experience. We ended up buying one pair there and the second pair at the Shinsaibashi outlet instead. Even though it was much busier, the staff there were very professional and pleasant, a much better experience. I hope Onitsuka Tiger trains their staff to treat all customers with respect, fairness, and courtesy, especially in such a reputable...

Great Onitsuka Tiger store

I had been to two stores in Tokyo and they had seemed unhelpful and seemed to have no stock. I decided to try in Osaka, but the main Namba store had a long queue just to get in. As a last ditch attempt I tried the Namba City store and was so pleased I did. No queue to get in. A decent range on display. An assistant quickly asked if I needed any help, and went to check the stock of the shoes I was interested in. I was really happy with one of the pairs she brought, and so I am now the happy owner of my first pair of Onitsuka Tigers. The assistant was then helping other customers. T. I visited this branch after failing to get attention from anyone in shinsaibashi and Namba stores. Ms Jeung helped me find the shoe I wanted, patiently went through the process of finding the style, color and size. I ended up buying the shoes that fit me the most and I never had the feeling that I needed to rush anything. Ms Jeung although being a trainee(shown on her badge) did an amazing job.
