Went there in December last year and felt the vibe was not welcoming even when it was not too busy at the time we were there. There is a short hair attending lady at the door who didn't greet any customers coming in. We approached her and was told to wait for a sales person to attend to us. We then saw her walking to her male colleagues and seemingly gossiping and laughing uncontrollably instead of serving walk-in. After that we saw another 2 sales staff also chatting and laughing away. You wouldn't expect gossiping and chit chatting in high end stores like that in the front end. I feel it is unprofessional of them. For this visit, i only bought a trinity ring as i feel it is better to take the business else where, where the staff can behave appropriately instead of chatting and laughing away. I requested for jewellery cleaning kit with the purchase, staff went in for a long time twice and rejected us. i mean come on, any where in the world would have provided swiftly. She probably knows immediately we’re tourists and proceed to ask us something in Chinese but as we don’t speak the language she looks annoyed and left. Not the best first impression.
We were in a rush to the airport hence why we decided to buy after trying it on. However, things only got worse; she didn’t even bother to ask me to check the bracelet condition nor show me the certificate after i paid for the item, which has never happened to me at any Cartier store before. Before i left the store, i asked if she could help me put on the bracelet as it has a screw closing which i’ve never tried before and she dismissed my request and said it’s very easy while pointing at her bracelet saying that i just need to make sure one of the pattern look a certain way. Read moreI'm really disappointed with the customer service this time around at Cartier Ginza. Last year, when we came to buy a necklace for my birthday, Tanaka Midori provided amazing assistance. Unfortunately, it seems she's no longer working there. We had a top-notch experience last year, but this time, it was the complete opposite. The first assistant didn't communicate well and didn't help with ring sizes, so I had to ask for a female assistant. Even with the second assistant, the friendliness was lacking.
