Hermès Omotesando — Local services in Tokyo

I was highly disappointed with the sales assistant at this store. She acted as though the business was her personal property, displaying an unprofessional and dismissive attitude. I visited the store intending to purchase sandals for myself and my brother for the New Year holiday, but the experience left me frustrated.

When I inquired about specific sizes and colors, she immediately dismissed my requests, claiming the items were only on display. She offered me just one size and color and outright refused to check for alternatives when I asked. Out of the three selections I made, none were available in the size I needed.

When I requested her assistance in checking the availability of the model or size at other stores, she refused outright, claiming she couldn’t locate stock from other boutiques—a baffling and unacceptable response.

Her behavior came across as judgmental and unaccommodating, which was both disheartening and embarrassing, especially given Japan’s reputation for professionalism and hospitality. It’s disappointing that such a prestigious brand employs staff who lack the basic courtesy and dedication expected in customer service.

Worst Hermes service ever, to begin with Hermes service around the world has been quite crappy, but the staff at the Omotesando store is probably the worst I’ve ever experienced.

1. they were not interested at all when we entered the store. We were told to go upstairs ON OUR OWN when I asked to look at women’s shoes. The SAs didn’t follow. There were no SAs at the second floor, only one security guard. We waited and no one came, I had to walk down and ask for assistance before someone reluctantly came up.

2. I was asked if I wanted to buy a scratched pair of sandals. 🤯???!! The SA came back with the pair of shoes I wanted to buy, but there was a big obvious scratch on it, they said it was a last pair and that they WERE UNABLE to check if other outlets had it. I was a sincere customer who had a few other things on my list, but her half arsed attitude and rubbish behaviour put me off.

Looking at reviews here, it’s been this way for quite some time. Shame...

I'm a Korean housewife living in Tokyo. We went to buy a scarf for my friend's birthday, but we was not happy cause of the bad reception. There is a seller in charge at another store in Tokyo, but even though we went in on a whim and bought it, the person in charge's attitude was like, "Are you going to buy it or not?""That's the attitude. I went in to buy it in the first place, but is it the role of the employee to eliminate the customer's willingness to buy it Hermes is the best brand in the world. It's a proud brand, but it's different from conceit, especially when dealing wit customers. It took less than 20 minutes to go into the store, pay, and exit. We wasn't even a picky customer, but we felt like was kicking them out. Is that Hermes' policy you work for?

I've experienced a lot of Hermes sellers in different stores and countries.

A male seller with gray hair and a ring on the middle of his right hand. Listen carefully. ur attitude doesn't represent Hermes no does it express Hermes' pride. It's just personal hubris.

If u guyz r considering purchasing at Omotesando's store, I recommend u to purchase in another Tokyo area. There was a reason why Omotesando store's rating was low.

도쿄살고 있는 한국주부에요. 친구의 생일을 맞아 스카프를 사러 들어갔는데,정말 좋지 못한 응대를 받아서 기분이 좋지 않았습니다. 도쿄의 다른 매장에 담당 셀러가있지만 즉흥적으로 들어가서 구매까지하는과정속에 마치 담당자의 태도는"살거에요 말거에요?"라는 태도였어요. 애초에 구매하려고 들어간건데 고객의 구매의지를 없애는게 직원의 역할인가요? 에르메스는 세계 최고의 브랜드입니다. 자긍심이 있는 브랜드이지만 자만심과는 달라요 특히 고객을 대했을때는 더 그렇습니다. 매장에 들어가서 계산하고 퇴장까지 이십분도 걸리지 않았어요. 그렇게 까다로운 고객도 아니었는데,손님을 내쫒는듯한 느낌은 저만 느끼는 오바가 아니었고요. 아마도 한국말을 저희끼리 썼기때문이라 생각됩니다만,고객의 사용언어가 초면인 셀러가 고객의 구매의지를 꺾을 근간은 되지않죠. 그게 당신이 일하는 에르메스의 방침인가요? 저는 다른매장,다른 국가에서의 에르메스 셀러분들을 많이 경험했어요.
