I felt that the staff at this store treated Japanese customers and customers from other countries differently. This experience was extremely unpleasant and made me feel really hurt. I don’t understand why I have to endure such unfair treatment.

There were two staff members in the store. I politely approached the male staff member to inquire about the product I wanted to buy, but he responded briefly in just about a second and then looked down, ignoring me completely afterward. After that, I clearly noticed that he treated Japanese customers with great politeness and patience, creating a stark contrast that made me feel I was being treated differently.

Later, the male staff member told me that the product I was looking for might be available at the store across from them. I went there and asked the female staff member. At first, she immediately said they didn’t have it. When I explained that the other staff member had told me it should be available there, she changed her response and took out the product.

This entire experience was extremely upsetting for me.

A great specialty shop in the heart of Shinjuku, with excellent selection and great prices.

I was worried this might be a bit of a tourist trap given its location, but it was the real deal. I was very impressed by the sheer volume of stock on display for tobacco from all over the world. We found the particular brand we wanted to very easily, and picked up a very extra bits while we were there too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, making small talk during our purchase process.

The store is a little small, so I wouldn't recommend trying to come in with large bags or large groups of people, but it's not so cramped you can't wander and...

Nice selection. However However owner of the store is extremely deceiving. Charged me an extra 3.5% conversion fee on top of their Dubious currency rate - when i paid with my credit card. Basically charges you in your home country currency instead of the local currency Yen without ur consent. There is check box on reciept for this swap option. He will just check it for you. Which is illegal. I went back to the store after receiving a call from my bank. So he cancel my last transaction and just charge me in the local currency Yen. Owner acted like monkey, like he was born yesterday. I just left the store and leaving this review. Buyers...
