Niku to tamago second branch! We came after standing in line for the OG branch and noticed a sign telling about this branch. There was no line at all, and we got seated quickly and started ordering. I ordered the hamburg steak with fried chicken and the hashed beef sauce (1690 yen). And my partner took the cheese hamburg steak with curry sauce (1590 yen).
While we waited to the food we could enjoy their complementary cabbage salad and hot miso soup. I don’t really like miso soup so I didn’t try it, but ai really liked the cabbage salad (although a bit too oily to my liking), the cumin seeds were a great addition.
The waiter was very nice and offered my partner an apron because she saw he had a white shirt on.
The dishes took around 15 mins to arrive, and they were massive and came in a sizzling skillet. The flavors were very good, the rice was perfectly cooked and the burger and the egg were slightly too well done to my liking. The chicken was ok, but I don’t think it added much to my dish.
This whole combination was very warm and comforting and if I had more time in here I would have definitely returned.
Because the branch is new (i guess) they offer a free drink for a review, and we also got a coupon for an extra egg / 2 pieces of fried chicken, which is very nice of them.
Overall, great value for money, really comforting dishes with good flavors. Also, in this branch there is an extra sauce - steak sauce which is nice, and you can add a...
Read moreNikutoTamago – Meat, Egg & Cheese serves a hearty, omurice-style hotplate with hamburg steak, egg, rice, and cheese — basically a big, comforting bowl of food. I’d never tried this style before, so I went in with an open mind and kept it original with the beef sauce. Everything blended well together, and the omurice egg was cooked perfectly, giving each bite a rich, fluffy texture.
I ordered the Wagyu Hamburg option, but I’m not entirely sure the beef I got was distinctively wagyu — I might have expected a juicier, more flavourful piece. It also seemed slightly overcooked, where a touch of red in the center would have elevated it.
The karaage chicken on the side was a bit underwhelming — slightly underdone and less crispy than I hoped. That said, the concept of the dish works really well: you get the full combo of egg, meat, rice, and melted cheese, which never disappoints. Curious to try the other sauce options like curry next time.
Unlimited miso soup refills are available, but you’ll need to grab them yourself. The staff were impressively fast in preparing the dishes, keeping the service efficient and smooth.
Overall, a solid, flavour-packed bowl of omurice for anyone looking to try a creative take on Japanese...
Read moreI went with the hamburger steak paired with omurice and egg and what a beautiful choice that turned out to be. When I asked which sauce to go for, the staff confidently recommended the steak sauce (one of four options available), and I’m glad I took their advice. The hamburger steak itself was exceptional, more meaty and substantial than the typical soft, melt-away versions you often find. It had real character. Every bite blended harmoniously with the fragrant rice, while the egg on top was a masterpiece in itself perfectly cooked, rich, and velvety smooth, like a silken cloud wrapping everything together.
They even offer free-flow soup, coleslaw, and water a small but thoughtful touch that adds so much warmth to the experience. The soup was light yet full of flavor, and the coleslaw was refreshingly crisp, delicately perfumed with cumin that gave it a gentle lift.
All in all, this place is a fantastic little find. The team clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail. I left with a full heart and a happy stomach and I’ll definitely be coming...
