浅草着物レンタル古都-Asakusa Rental Kimono Koto My mom and aunts had such a wonderful experience wearing beautiful kimonos all day. Asakusa Rental Kimono Koto is truly a gem. We were there to rent out Kimonos on a fine day in May 2023. From start to finish everything was easy and right on queue. Their website regarding kimono rental is very informative, thus making reservation is such a breeze. When we arrived at their location, I was in an awe of how much kimonos they have. The hardest part is to choose the one you like because they’re all beautiful, the kimono colors are very vibrant and it all has a rich feel to it. We were helped in putting them on and our hairs were made really pretty with flowers and ornaments. The rental comes in with getta and purses to match your kimono. This place is located on the 6th floor of a small building so be prepared to make room and not miss your appt. The place is clean and well ventilated, and the Kimonos were neatly lined up on all sides of the walls. And most importantly, people and service were awesome and we really had a great time. And oh, did I mention they have the most reasonably priced kimono rental in Asakusa. I would definitely do this again when I go back to Japan, and would recommended this place to family...

I highly recommend this kimono rental shop!!

I showed up midday without a reservation and the staff were super accommodating. The kimonos are sooo pretty, and the woman, who I assume is the owner of the shop, is super sweet and friendly. You choose all the pieces yourself, so you can put together your own kimono outfit and she helps you put everything on. I bought the package which included hairstyling and she does your hair super quickly and it looks really pretty. The shop is also conveniently located near the Sensoji temple, it’s only a 2 minute walk away. And don’t worry if you can’t speak any Japanese, you can get by just fine using only English. We had a wonderful experience here yesterday, the service from the staff is wonderful, they are patient and welcoming.

The place is near the Asakusa station and the Temple, so after wearing the kimono there is only a short walk from the rental place to the Temple.

The kimono collection they have is big and lots of variaties with different sizes. There are a lot of options for both men and women, they also have kid sized kimonos for both girls and boys.

You can have your hair styled, a flower, or/and a traditional umbrella (for women)

The price is reasonable even though the place is near the Temple, my family (there’s 5 of us) was dressed in kimono and it was all under 20k yen
