Metropol Hotel — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

My boyfriend and I are travelling around Asia in our gap-year and wanted to find a cheap hotel for our six days in Kuala Lumpur ... yet this turned out to be a very expensive experience as we decided to move to another hotel efter two nights at Metropol. Our room was extremely dirty as we arrived, had a weird smell, a noisy fridge, a safetybox that did not work and very thin walls which kept us up for most of the night .. even the towels in our room very dirty as we arrived. Outside the hotel seemed to be some kind of hangout-place for multiple young men - all of whom I don’t believe were staying at the hotel and as we arrived they all stared intensely at us and immediately made us feel unwelcome.|None of us felt safe or comfortable in the hotel and even clean towels couldn’t make us stay there one more night. As we checked out I explained to the receptionist why we had decided to check out, but instead of properly listening and offering a solution to the problem or even giving us an apology, it seemed more like she did not care at all. |Please do not spend your money here, despite it being cheap and actually very nice rooms, they are so unacceptably dirty and disgusting .. nothing like the pictures propose.||On a last note I believe both my boyfriend and I were sharing our bed with bed bugs as we both woke up with red dots multiple places on our body after the...

This hotel is centrally located with markets and metro station nearby.also there are many places to eat and to exchange your currency.The rooms were big and good.our triple bedroom was provided with nice beds,tea/coffee maker and two mineral water bottles every day.we stayed here for 3 nights but sorry to say we were not satisfied with the food quality.The breakfast was not good,the quality of the food and the typical spices that they were putting in the food made us sick,the toaster was not working properly and there was a long queue in front of the toaster.we had dinner in the restaurant delhi o delhi one day and the food was so bad,the non veg items seemed to be stale and the vegetables were soaked in oil.it was a group dinner and i thik they wanted to make the most...

The front desk was helpful and curtious. She explained to me clearly all the rates, what they have, and what I need to do. The room itself is not bad either, it has a closet, TV, fridge, water boiler, and an AC. The bathroom was very clean and it looks very modern. That left me in a good mood. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is because I had very noisy neighbors breaking glass, drinking cans of beer, and making a mess, but no staff came at all to address the issue. Furthermore, food room service says they close at 11pm, and I called at 9pm, but they said they were closed.
