Today, I visited City Fitness with my friend, who has a Black membership that allows them to bring a guest, as long as the guest is 18 years or older. I am 18, so I signed in on the machine as usual and went inside. However, less than 10 minutes later, a City Fitness manager approached me and asked if I had signed in. I confirmed that I had, but she then started questioning my friend about my age. As she was speaking with him, I remembered that I had a photo of my passport on my phone, as I recently lost the physical document. I showed her the photo, but she then asked for another form of ID. I explained again that I couldnāt provide one because I had lost my ID, but instead of showing understanding, she rudely told me to leave. This experience left me feeling quite disappointed. Came in person twice to get it cancelled, it never happened. Called was on hold for 30 mins left a number to be called back never was. Talked with live chat and never got the solution resolved.
Advise 30 day cancellation policy that doesn't work. Adverse a shorten 7 day cancellation policy if you leave the area and that doesn't work.

I think this is fast becoming typical NZ culture. The staff says they can't tell people to be respectful for others and try not to waste time as this is personal choice. Well it IS a shared space after all...
