Homa Kebab Cafe — Local services in Hibiscus and Bays

Giving this review in good spirit hoping for an improvement. Meat tasted strange. Underwhelming size, sauces disappointing. Such a shame. I live in Orewa and I'm dying to have a good kebab place in town. The truth is the kebab shop In Whangaparaoa which annoyingly takes 20min to get to, just leaves this place for dead with super fresh quality ingredients and generous serves. It's just a far superior product and I wish the owners would go there to see what they need to provide that would have people flooding in. 100% cannot recommend at present but will give them a month and try again in case they go to the other place and pick up their game. My family have been coming here for years (pretty much as long as I remember!), and they've never failed to provide excellent food AND service. The food is delicious and filling, you get exactly what you pay for. My personal favourite is the mixed kebab. The owners are kind and generous people, who always make you feel welcome. Came for dinner as a family of six, cute Turkish restaurant with traditional decor. We all had the kebabs they were packed with fresh ingredients, delicious hummus, selection of different sauces and gluten free option on the flatbread, which is a real win for us.
