Awful service, and the waitress was super rude and deeply unconsidered! We ordered the beef ramen for my eight y/o; when the food arrived, it was super spicy even though there isn’t mention of spicy ramen on the menu. Obviously, we had to order something different as no one could eat it, and when we went to pay, we were charged for the ramen. We told the waitress that it was unfair as we weren’t able to make an informed choice and that we couldn’t eat it. Imagine if you are allergic to chilli and eat it! We requested to talk to the manager as we felt it was very unfair having to pay for that dish, and they said they didn’t have a manager yet they were selling alcohol as we bought...

4 of us had the pleasure of dining at Asahi in Orewa last Saturday night (26 July). Entrees of spring rolls, a pork dish and dumplings. Very tasty, spring rolls were light (not packet ones) and dumplings were great. 2 of us had the pork bulgogi, one tempura prawn and the other chicken teriyaki. Excellent all round - great taste, generous size portions, lovely friendly service and a nice place to dine. Was very dissapointed when we visited here today ordered the beef bento box if that is what you call beef bento it was just a few pieces of beef thrown in a dish with cabbage and onion,dumplings were cold and only thing I enjoyed was the tempura veggies which were hot and crunchy,miso soup was like warm. When I told them that this time there food had gone down hill only got told was "Sorry about that" my family and I won't be going there again in a hurry. Big let down especially bento box...
