Orewa Kiwi Cabins — Hotel in Hibiscus and Bays

My husband, sister and I stayed in the Kingfisher cabin a 2bedroom cabin for 8 nights. The cabin was fully appointed with cooking facilities even had salt & pepper grinders, glad-wrap, foil and paper towels. Huge Smart TV screen, warm heating, lots of light to let in and close off. Fabulous shower dome and instant hot water, up-to-date laundry washing machine & drier. Towels were Ok. Beds were amazingly comfortable with extra minke if required includes single bed as well. Rainer supportive of upgrading a single room to double room accommodation. Also, open to discounts for other family members to accommodate 2 further single cabins. Our short stay at the Orewa Kiwi Cabins in the ‘Kingfisher’ was very enjoyable. The hosts were very accommodating, and the staff, very friendly.

Everything in the cabin we needed was at our fingertips. The bed was super comfy, a quiet sanctuary; a bonus being an outdoor private deck where we entertained guests over an evening drink.

We loved the beachy atmosphere of the complex and admired all the artistic artwork dotted here and there. A unique feature of Orewa Kiwi Cabins was the Fun Shed; full of bikes in different sizes, and body boards we could enjoy at the beach for free. We really enjoyed being in the heart of Orewa and being close to the beach, parks and plethora of eateries.

Was smaller than anticipated, but had everything needed, Orewa is a nice little town, even in the rain, if staying for a while would rent one of the bigger units Well, it served its purpose and I liked that the key is in a little lockbox, unfortunately, the bathroom door did not close or lock as it needs adjusting ( the door) not the lock and the blanket in the blanket box had spillage that had gone mouldy also some food (like curry stain on the couch) which means the cleaner had not seen this before we checked in and in the price you pay for cleaning before and after...
