Booked an appointment cause of my colleague since my usual place was closed. Showed this woman (not the owners wife) thats what she told me cause I forgot her name anyways showed her 2 pictures explaining how I want my hair done and also told her to leave some length in the front. She seemed very ignorant and saw her eye rolling. Like I’m just asking u to give me a hair cut not a cut of your yearly salary. She pretended to smile and do her job being ignorant. I asked for a low taper fade idk she gave a fade to fade from this planet. Lost all my confidence from one hair cut and now I look like a Shrek told her to leave some length similar to a fringe cut with picture now I have similar cut to buzz cut but worse. Hands down to the worst haircut Ive ever got from that woman. Also she mentioned that she had 8 years of experience, in what? making people feel ignored and taking their confidence? I was left speechless to leave with this shameful haircut. Pretty sure if i had an interview they would say NO straight away just cause of the haircut. Don't even bother going on a date 💀. Might as well use my beanie during summer too. But seriously this place is no good to spend a single penny at and an apprentice barber does much better than what they give here also most importantly they will...

6 years ago I was passing through Auckland on a long backpacking trip, and stopped into this hair salon for a quick haircut, not expecting much. It was hands down the best haircut I've ever had - I remember walking out feeling like a princess. The simple cut was just somehow amazing; the staff so friendly and the price very reasonable. This week I again found myself passing through (I live in the UK) with one day to spare in Auckland. I had been considering getting a fringe cut and thought it would be funny to see if this place still existed - I was delighted to find it straight away on google thanks to its outstanding review score, and popped in as soon as it opened. Again I was able to get a walk in appointment no problem, the staff were again fantastic, there was no upselling or over-pampering which I hate, and it cost me just ten dollars. I just wish it wasn't the other side of the world from where I live or it would definitely...

This was my first time going to the city for a haircut. Firstly there is a friendly greeting. They wash your hair in the beginning, which is very nice. Then the haircut. I told em 4 on the top-2 on the sides - 1 on the edges, they ended up cutting it as 2 on the top and 1 at the bottom with no styling at all, almost like they wanted to close shop and go home as soon as possible. She kept on telling me I asked for 4 and this is 4, I have gone to 5 barber shops with the same instructions, never have I ever had this bad of a haircut. I never had this bad of a haircut in the last 7 years. Never again am I going to get a haircut from the city. I just paid and got the hell out covering with my hoodie and ran to my car cuz I looked like avatar from the cartoon. I was going to go on a date, thanks for ruining it.
