After 1 week of traveling and not eating a single Asian dish, finally we decided to eat in a Thai resto. This is a regular takeaway resto, mainly, serving the locals - either living around the area or on the way back from work. The shop is very mom-and-pop and the lady is patient and polite. The resto is rather open air - so in winter (like in August when we visited) it was quite cold. Food was very good; short of amazing. The standard you get from takeaway food but better. Finally had the chance to try Mali Thai, after reading so much good reviews about it and passing by this restaurant countless times.. had lunch here one Sunday afternoon and the staff was composed of one really friendly lady who cooks real good food 🤩

We ordered a plate of pad thai, chicken satay, and pork ribs and everything was super yummy. Would have wanted a spicier version of the pad thai, but they had chilli crisps which spiced up our meals a bit more.

Good sized serving too; we took home the rest of the pad thai and chicken satay - had these for dinner so the ~$45 meal was worth it 👍
