originally came here as part of some promotion for their new staff and she was so so lovely but absolutely botched the nails (nothing at all like the photo, 3/5 pairs of nails very obviously mismatched in length, nail dust all over me/my food as they had no vacuum) and they very readily fixed it for me asap when i reached out to them about it! the staff who fixed my nails was also very lovely and did an excellent job and i was happy to top up extra for the new design. the trainee also had a chat with me and i don’t hold the poor job against her at all! they also had a dust vacuum this time around which shows that they take feedback well.

however one thing that i didn’t enjoy was all the blank or judgmental stares from every single person when i stepped into the shop every time… it didn’t really happen with other customers. everyone was nice enough though some comments sounded accusatory (eg. told me that my nails were crazy different in length the first time around because i didn’t explicitly say that they should ideally match the opposite finger?? i also asked for their professional opinion on where to put certain gems/design and they would very reluctantly give suggestions - though this could be due to my dissatisfaction with the initial nails or a language barrier which it understandable).

you’re also welcome to pop back in to get any gems that fell off glued back, and i really appreciate this. however during my return visit, the vibes towards me were really weird and i was basically ignored by everyone and the lady who served me seemed annoyed and obviously exasperated even though i said i would happily come back another time if they were unable to do it today. i was left on my own to dry my nails (totally fine by me) and just got up and left after while everyone ignored me even when i bid them farewell LOL. anyway i gave 5* because of the great attitude they had towards the issues i faced and great attitude towards feedback and i think the moneh was worth it and they were all polite enough, though just fyii it was a funny experience lolll. will probs be back bevause the nails are so good and long lasting and look great and maybe im just gaslighting myself and all the weird vibes were...

Don’t sleep on this unsuspecting place. You’ve found a winner. I got a gel manicure done, on my first visit here, last Friday after seeing an Instagram Ad and I was honestly really pleasantly surprised. Booking an appointment was super simple. When I arrived on the day the salon was busy, but still felt calm. They even had a TV with episodes of Friends playing which took away the awkwardness of the small chit-chat that you often feel forced to make. That being said everyone was so nice and we’re happy for a little chat when I initiated. I wanted to try a design I’d seen on pinterest and Daisy absolutely delivered. She used the inspo photo and checked in with me after step to make sure I was happy; the shape, base colour, and art design, and which gems I wanted. I also really appreciated that the nails didn’t come out super thick which sometimes happens when the technician uses of ton of nail polish. Can’t speak to longevity yet, but so far they feel super solid. My friends even asked if I got extensions or if they were my real nails (spoiler: they’re my real nails)!

TLDR: Vibes are good. People are friendly. Pricing is fair. Happy with final result. Definitely will be going again and would recommend! :)

I must admit that getting a gel manicure to start the day was a peaceful experience. Early in the morning, there weren't many customers, which made for a calm and pleasant atmosphere.

Their service was excellent; the personnel helped me pick the exact shade of pink and glitter I had shown from my inspo photo. They were efficient and kind. The nail tech who was assigned to me was tried her best to be careful, however she did inadvertently nick me once. It wasn't very uncomfortable, though, and the bleeding ended right away. Her attention to detail was excellent overall, however some things happen.

I've never been to a nail salon in Auckland before, but I'm happy to report that this visit was my first. The personnel was courteous and friendly, the setting was tidy, and the service was effective. It's much more alluring with the bonus of a student discount. Because it's easily accessible and has everything I need in a nail lounge, I wouldn't think twice about going again.
