If I had a choice to put zero stars I would.. Do not go here!!! I'm originally from San Francisco and I came in and spoke with Andrea at the front desk in regards to my reason in needing to see a doctor. I then went on to say I wanted to make an appointment for the very next day at 9:15 however she informed me about the $90 fee which I wasn't aware of before (the doctor did not inform me about this fee on the phone before I came to new zealand.) I told her I will have a look around at some other places to keep my options open and told her specifically that I did NOT want to go ahead with the appointment. The doctor was to have a look at the letter I'd left for him and I planned to pop in sometime within the next few days to see what he had to say. The very next day I'm informed by Andrea that I've missed my appointment and that I owe $90!!! I went to speak with the front desk lady the very next day and I said I'm not going to be paying $90. I explained the exact story just like in this review. The nurse (not Andrea this time) said I'd have to talk to the doctor about waiving the fee.... I'm never going back and if they decide to send me an invoice I'm going straight to the ministry of health. Family Parnell Doctor should be embarrassed of how they dealt with this situation and...

This was honestly one of the most distressing and invalidating experiences I’ve ever had with a GP. Dr Eva Mascher completely dismissed me when I asked for help. I explained I couldn’t afford counselling, but she refused to prescribe medication unless I committed to it anyway, even though I clearly said I wasn’t able to.

While I was visibly upset and crying, she smirked at me, which felt incredibly unprofessional and dehumanising. On top of that, she refused to address other health issues I brought up, brushing them off as symptoms of the thing she wouldn’t even help me treat.

I left feeling humiliated, ignored, and worse than when I walked in. No one seeking help should be treated like this. It was a traumatising experience and, in my opinion, she should not be practising as a GP.

Thank god I did not have to pay. I hope others don’t have to go through this. Find a doctor who cares and is...

Incredibly disappointing experience with Parnell Family. Booked an appt as a new patient as was looking to transfer to Dr. Maschel. Upon arriving, was informed the doctor was running 45 mins behind schedule. Waited for 45 mins to be seen and as I was about to leave doctor walked out. Not wanting to rush through my appointment nor waste $90 I said I would look to rebook. I was assured by the receptionist that I could go and have a quick chat with the doctor and all fees for the quick chat as well as my next appt would be waived due to the very long wait. As I walked out from seeing the doctor, a very rushed 10 min appt as the delay at the clinic had made me late for another engagement, the receptionist then proceeded to charge me for a full session.
