Received amazing help here from Andrew tonight. These guys have two stores, this one, and the one in Grey Lynn/Ponsonby which shares some of the same awesome staff with each other. So what’s worthy of 5 stars? Easy, Andrew stayed open late for me, helped me put my new camera together (which was total kindness of the heart territory as I hadn’t even bought it from this company). He gave me incredible advice, he sold me a great Mindshift Bag for my Camera (with the concealed lower back access compartment), sorted me a fantastic price on the flecky and the Sennheiser Mic wind sock too... So I’m very happy and well set for all my video requirements. This place has the X-factor of what is essentially the art of charm and service that makes you want to return again and again. I read some reviews from other people that are frankly, distorted... so I’m going on record to say this place deserves much better reviews!! Some people on google reviews are clearly reflecting their own unhappiness I think, psychologists call it ‘projection’. This the first time I write Google review and I’m honoured. The only reason I give this store a five star is because the assistant here Morro!! I lost my camera 4 days ago and it’s frustrating enough that I need to spend another fortune to find a camera worth holding for in such a short time notice but in such a bad mood (cause I’m travelling can’t really do anything without a camera). I was first introduced to another assistant in the store who really is neither helpful nor friendly. When I was soo desperate, Morro stood out and listened to my request really carefully and patiently. He spent so long to help me to choose the right camera and listen to what I really need!! He was genuinely loving to help and keen on what he’s doing. He’s passionate about being a professional consultant also such a caretaker of the camera! I’ll highly recommend to anyone who need a little help to find their own right camera but also who would be willing to be open minded about that camera they would use! Update: Jason was very helpful in following up with my photos and out of good will wanted to give me a refund for one roll that came out blank (was my own fault). So i will upgrade to 3 stars. Thanks Jason.

Usually i don’t leave bad reviews but this is frustrating. The photowarehouse i’d been getting films from would take a day max but here I was told 10days wait time as they were quite busy and i was ok but it extended to 2 weeks. I rang to confirm and was told that their scanner broke and there were a few people’s films in the waiting queue before me so I understood and waited and received a text on Tue to wait 24hrs for the digital copies. It’s Friday now and they still said another 24 hours since it’s possible to go into the wrong email. I needed those films for some events and it’s too late now. Not a good experience. Not happy. If the service is good next time i will change the review to 5 stars but today’s not...
