Terrible customer service.

My mother and I went to buy ski boots and skis here and the guy who helped us was extremely helpful and disrespectful.

He had a bad attitude from the start. There was definitely some sort of discrimination going on there, whether if it because of ethnicity or gender or something else. The guy looks very annoyed every time we asked a question, and was pretty passive aggressive as if we were burdens.

The ski boots ended up being too tight and I couldn't use them. When we came back for a bigger size, the guy DID NOT BELIEVE us when we told him that it was VERY abnormally tight and that it cut off my circulation to the point where I couldn't even move my toes. He kept saying that according to his measurements, the boots should fit perfectly, even though it evidently did not. I don't think he understands that there are more measurements to feet other than its length. We REPEATEDLY asked him to let me try a different size, which he refused. He looked at us as if we were stupid and told us that it's normal for boots to be a little too tight when they're new, I told him that I understood that and that it was dangerously tight, far more than a little but he seemed to ignore that too. He also told us that my feet wouldn't grow or change size because I am past the age of 14. Even though it is true that most girls' feet stop growing at that age, often times it doesn't fully stop AND mine js still changing (which again he didn't believe like as if he knows my body more than me and my mother)

He's also made a lot of insulting remarks throughout our interactions. When we told him that we might not be skiing again for the rest of this year, and he responded with something like "so you bought these boots just to ski for 5 days?" with a bit of an EYEROLL?! I'm sorry where did you get that idea from? I suspect that he sees us as stereotypical "rich karens" because of how we insisted on changing the boot size. (what else were we supposed to do he wouldn't believe me?) After we left the shop my mother revealed to me that while I wasn't next to her, the guy made accusations about her being selfish and a bad mother which is completely untrue and absolutely unacceptable and disgusting of him.

Anyway as long as that guy's still there I don't think i'm willing to walk in to this store ever again- he is...

Update I downgraded my review from 5 stars to 2 stars because of the way the supervisor handled one of my orders at the time. I ordered white coloured snowboard bindings and while the lady that ordered the binding for me from the manufacturer was nice, when the bindings arrived, the bindings had some small scuff marks on it. I talked to one of the staff about it to see if they could order another one and they said they would need to to ask their supervisor. The supervisor came and talked to me. He did not want to order another one and gave responses that were disgusting/appalling. He said things like "this are just small marks, what's the problem?!" and "these marks were created while transporting the goods and cannot be avoided" and "the bindings are going to get scratched anyway when you use them".

He reluctantly offered that I can either get a refund or keep them as is.

I tried to ask him if he'd be willing to give me a discount on it since it is slightly scuffed up and he could claim the offset from the manufacturer. He said no and that the manufacturer would laugh at them if they brought this back to them and complained about it. And also said the manufacturer would just sell it to someone else at full price.

Older Review Top notch fast friendly service from staff. Got a couple of stuck snowboard binding screws and they were able to remove it quickly even though I made a hole in one of the screws trying to remove it myself with a drill and screw removers.

I have just experienced such an amazing level of service from the team at the Snow Centre. I brought a pair of top of the range snow board boots in 2018 (Soloman Malamutes). However, I had issues with getting the fit right as the top of my feet stick up a bit. The extent that the Snow Centre have gone to make them work for me (even after a year) has been the best I have ever experienced. Their company approach of helping to make the boots as comfortable as possible is outstanding. I have always previously focused on trying to get the best price for top of the range gear. However, the value that the team at the Snow Centre add is huge and I am now converted to buying from them and will be recommending the same to all my friends and family.
