We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this hotel, located just a few blocks from Cusco’s main plaza—an ideal spot for exploring the city. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and responsive to all of our requests. A security guard is always on duty to assist with entry and exit, which added a sense of safety and convenience. We were also grateful for the help we received with our luggage to the second floor.||Traveling with both of my parents, we were assigned a spacious room with two bedrooms and a small kitchenette. It was perfect for our needs—we were able to make tea and coffee each day, and we appreciated being able to wash our own dishes. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the Norwegian-style comforters kept us warm and cozy throughout the cold Cusco nights.||The room also had a lovely view of the main street, was heated, and had hot water at all times. Slippers, bathrobes, and complimentary bottled water were thoughtfully provided, which added to the comfort of our stay.||Breakfast each morning was delicious—eggs made to order and a generous, constantly replenished buffet that included potatoes, fresh breads, juices, cheeses, hams, jams, fruits, yogurt, and more. The fireplace in the dining area was always lit, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially appreciated by my parents while we ate or waited for our taxis.||Check-in was available as early as 11 a.m., and laundry service was also made available to us. Anytime we needed extra items like plates, utensils, or cups, someone from the staff promptly brought them to our room. The level of care and attention from the staff truly stood out.||A special thank you to Lenny, who was fantastic throughout our stay and helped us arrange our taxi back to the airport. Her kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression.||Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cusco—this hotel offers both comfort and genuine...
Read moreI booked a simple room with a matrimonial bed for my parents who were traveling for the first time and they were satisfied.
Firstly, the customer service was excellent, my parents were well welcomed in the hotel by the receptionist, although when doing the check in (after 11am) my parents had to wait a bit for their room to be ready, that was not a issue at all, however it may be a problem for people who are very tired and who really need to get their room in order to relax.
The hotel offered a free taxi pick up from the airport which was excellent! the taxi driver was a kind man who drove them safe to the hotel. I have to highlight that I sent an email to the hotel email specifying; the company and the landing hour so the taxi driver knows when to pick them up. So It was a very good start of the trip for my parents.
Secondly, my parents loved their room and the structure of the hotel. Confortable big bed with a view to the inner patio with a water fountain in the middle, flowerpots and planters around the patio. My pappa whom is specially glad at green areas and oldstyle furniture felt in love with the hotel, Cusco and its streets.
Last but not least, the buffet breakfast was vary and good. The location was also a positive point to the hotel because it is very central and close to everything.
I believe that if you, as well as me, check out for reviews when considering booking a hotel room, I can highly recommend Rumi Punku as it has many positive points and for the unforgettable experience my parents...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at Hotel Rumi Punku before and after our Inca Trail trek as it was recommended by our trekking company. We provided the hotel with our incoming flight information and they sent a taxi to pick us up from the airport, which was complementary. Upon arriving to the hotel we were immediately impressed with the atmosphere, the entrance has original Inca stone and the courtyard was beautiful and welcoming. Our room was perfect for the two of us for a short stay. We did have some issues with the bathroom. The shower had challenges maintaining a consistent temperature and would fluctuate from scalding to freezing without making any adjustments. About 20 minutes after showering there were ticking or dripping noises underneath the floor, presumable from the pipes.
The hotel also had a free filtered water fountain to fill up water bottles so we could stay hydrated as we adjusted to altitude.
We enjoyed the complementary breakfast. Eggs were made to order and there were choices of breads, fruits, granola, and fresh squeezed juices.
The hotel stored our luggage for us while we were on our trek and it was waiting for us in our new room when we returned.
The location was great, an easy 5 minute walk to Plaza de Armas but removed enough to be quiet.
The hotel coordinated our taxi back to the airport, but this was not complementary. We paid $10 USD (including tip)...
