This place is excellent, very safe and clean and beautiful. They offer free airport pickup and charge 20 soles for airport drop off (17min drive). Their place is open in the day and locked at night with 24/hr front desk security. Everyone is fluent in English and quute knowledgeable about things to do or the town's history. Free breakfast buffet with plenty of choices and unlimited coca leaves for alt sickness. My flight was delayed and they took me straight to my the Expeditions office for an equipment check and briefing which lasted 1.5 hrs during which the driver waited outside for me, before I even checked in and got my room - he suggested it to make it easier for me. Their area is very cool and cozy. The rooms are almost perfect with a nice bed, heating, TV, etc. They also have a sound curfew. I say they earned 4 stars because the showers are dangerous. Be prepared for the water temp to fluctuate between tepid, frigid, and scolding every 30 sec. They provide you with a sealed bottle of potable water to help get you started. I thought it was just me but I heard another guest requesting a new room for the same reason. After my Expeditions, I got a different room and experienced the same thing. It's not the end of the world... Overall I was happy and strongly recommend Rumi Punku.

We had a lovely stay at Rumi Punku, so lovely that after staying 3 nights before our Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu tour, we cancelled the hotel we'd previously booked for our return to Cusco and stayed 2 more nights at Rumi Punku. The location is perfect. It's on a quiet street, right in between the main plaza and the cute, boho neighborhood of San Blas. Rooms were warm, had ample space, comfortable beds, complementary bottled water, and hot showers with strong water pressure. No hotel room is truly quiet but theirs are quieter than most! The breakfast had everything you need, and filtered water was available from a lovely fountain in the courtyard 24/7. What really sold it for us were the in-house massages. With just an hours notice, you can have one of the best massages of your life for a 1/3 of the cost of one in the US. We took advantage of the massage services twice during our stay! When we return to Cusco, we will also return to Rumi Punku. Muchos gracias for a wonderful memory of Cusco!

highlight of my entire 3 week stay in Peru. Some rooms can be nosey sure to bring surrounded by walkways and courtyards (r 214 is one such). Others, such as inside corner rooms are peaceful & quiet. Original pre-incan stone foundation. beautiful architecture. Check out the built in stone, rotating hinge to the left of front door before exiting! it was carved as one solid piece while in the stone! Front desk could be friendlier but not rude just tired when we arrived late. great breakfast & eggs made to order! Negatives: They would not issue a 2nd key Heat comes on only at 7 pm. if it's winter & you plan to nap during day it gets chilly in the stone walled rooms. Also you have to pay for laundry as there are no self service laundromats in Cusco We had a good time despite the adjustments & inconveniences

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this hotel, located just a few blocks from Cusco’s main plaza—an ideal spot for exploring the city. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and responsive to all of our requests. A security guard is always on duty to assist with entry and exit, which added a sense of safety and convenience. We were also grateful for the help we received with our luggage to the second floor.||Traveling with both of my parents, we were assigned a spacious room with two bedrooms and a small kitchenette. It was perfect for our needs—we were able to make tea and coffee each day, and we appreciated being able to wash our own dishes. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the Norwegian-style comforters kept us warm and cozy throughout the cold Cusco nights.||The room also had a lovely view of the main street, was heated, and had hot water at all times. Slippers, bathrobes, and complimentary bottled water were thoughtfully provided, which added to the comfort of our stay.||Breakfast each morning was delicious—eggs made to order and a generous, constantly replenished buffet that included potatoes, fresh breads, juices, cheeses, hams, jams, fruits, yogurt, and more. The fireplace in the dining area was always lit, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially appreciated by my parents while we ate or waited for our taxis.||Check-in was available as early as 11 a.m., and laundry service was also made available to us. Anytime we needed extra items like plates, utensils, or cups, someone from the staff promptly brought them to our room. The level of care and attention from the staff truly stood out.||A special thank you to Lenny, who was fantastic throughout our stay and helped us arrange our taxi back to the airport. Her kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression.||Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cusco—this hotel offers both comfort and genuine...

I booked a simple room with a matrimonial bed for my parents who were traveling for the first time and they were satisfied.

Firstly, the customer service was excellent, my parents were well welcomed in the hotel by the receptionist, although when doing the check in (after 11am) my parents had to wait a bit for their room to be ready, that was not a issue at all, however it may be a problem for people who are very tired and who really need to get their room in order to relax.

The hotel offered a free taxi pick up from the airport which was excellent! the taxi driver was a kind man who drove them safe to the hotel. I have to highlight that I sent an email to the hotel email specifying; the company and the landing hour so the taxi driver knows when to pick them up. So It was a very good start of the trip for my parents.

Secondly, my parents loved their room and the structure of the hotel. Confortable big bed with a view to the inner patio with a water fountain in the middle, flowerpots and planters around the patio. My pappa whom is specially glad at green areas and oldstyle furniture felt in love with the hotel, Cusco and its streets.

Last but not least, the buffet breakfast was vary and good. The location was also a positive point to the hotel because it is very central and close to everything.

I believe that if you, as well as me, check out for reviews when considering booking a hotel room, I can highly recommend Rumi Punku as it has many positive points and for the unforgettable experience my parents...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Rumi Punku before and after our Inca Trail trek as it was recommended by our trekking company. We provided the hotel with our incoming flight information and they sent a taxi to pick us up from the airport, which was complementary. Upon arriving to the hotel we were immediately impressed with the atmosphere, the entrance has original Inca stone and the courtyard was beautiful and welcoming. Our room was perfect for the two of us for a short stay. We did have some issues with the bathroom. The shower had challenges maintaining a consistent temperature and would fluctuate from scalding to freezing without making any adjustments. About 20 minutes after showering there were ticking or dripping noises underneath the floor, presumable from the pipes.

The hotel also had a free filtered water fountain to fill up water bottles so we could stay hydrated as we adjusted to altitude.

We enjoyed the complementary breakfast. Eggs were made to order and there were choices of breads, fruits, granola, and fresh squeezed juices.

The hotel stored our luggage for us while we were on our trek and it was waiting for us in our new room when we returned.

The location was great, an easy 5 minute walk to Plaza de Armas but removed enough to be quiet.

The hotel coordinated our taxi back to the airport, but this was not complementary. We paid $10 USD (including tip)...
