First of all, when we arrived, the WiFi was not working and was spotty for the rest of our stay. Being tourists, we rely on the WiFi to do pretty much everything on our phones. Secondly, the bathroom was disgusting! There was black mold growing all in the shower (picture shown) and when you would shower, the floor would get soaking wet because the shower curtain did not come down far enough. The floor would then remain wet unless you dried it and start to leak into the bedroom. However, you could not use one of there towels to dry the floors without having to pay extra. Because of this we had to go out and buy paper towels to dry the floor of the bathroom. We also had to request toilet paper because there was none in the bathroom when we got there. The room was cold, we had to buy a blanket to keep us warm, and the bed was so uncomfortable that I ended up using my neck pillow because it was more comfortable than the pillows provided. Lastly, our room was right off of the lobby and the noise level was ridiculous! We could not sleep! The people working in the lobby would play music all night and talk loudly. They would then begin playing music at 7:00 which would not allow us to sleep in after not being able to fall asleep. I am aware that this is a cheap place, so I was not expecting much, but I have never stayed somewhere as awful in my life and I have stayed in some pretty cheap hotels and hostels.

Hostel oferece toalha. A qualidade do atendimento variava conforme a pessoa.

I created my TripAdvisor account solely to share my experience and advise anyone reading this to avoid doing business with the Hostal Arcano. The manager is a nasty person who was unfriendly and cheated us out of money we payed for services we never received. ||I booked a day trip to rainbow mountain through the hostel manager. We showed up at 3:30, as instructed, and were told to wait for our pick up in the lobby. We were told numerous times by multiple staff members, including the manager by phone, that the bus was on its way to pick us up. Finally after two hours we were told to come back mañana. We informed the manager that we were flying home the next day and that we had been looking forward to this outing. She agreed to refund us our money the next day and offered a day trip to Moray as compensation. Having had our plans ruined we agreed to go on the trip. When the manager arrived she informed us that we would have to pay for the Moray trip and refused to refund the full cost of rainbow mountain. The price she charged was exorbitant and she put us on a bus that spoke Spanish. ||After trying to bargain with her, her only offer was to come back and demand a refund from the midnight shift worker. This final act of dishonesty and cowardice only confirmed to us that this woman was a cheat and terrible human. I truly could not rate my experience lower. ||For those interested in the hostal and have read this far, it's a dump with a single bathroom. There's little privacy, but hey it's cheap. Honestly there are better options in...
