Pisko & Soul Hostel — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

We stayed here for 7 nights and found the room spacious, clean and lovely and warm with a heater and loads of blankets. We had to ask for extra pillows but that's just a personal preference! Gonzalo was really helpful for the most part and always happy to answer our typical Gringo questions. The hostel is in the great San Blas area with loads of restaurants which is great for tourists. The only things that let it down were that we'd pre-booked a taxi with the hostel to pick us up from the airport but when we arrived we waited around for a while but no taxi arrived. In the end I had to call the hostel from my UK phone which was quite costly. Also our room was right on the street outside and there was a lot of noise either from drunk tourists or taxis beeping in the early hours of the morning which woke us up in the middle of the night on several occasions. In a relatively good location as it is in walking distance to the local food market where you can have cheap meals, fresh juices or sandwiches and about 10 mins to the main square. It is also close to a few laundry places.

The lady working here was extremely friendly. When she started her shift she allowed me to have breakfast free of charge when I arrived at 6 in the morning despite the man refusing to allow me. In fact the man tried to overcharge me on checkout.

Whilst I was here the computer wasn't working at the time. Showers were hot once you let it run for a few minutes. Nice communal area with TV and Netflix. Finally the room I stayed in had a heater which I didn't expect. The hostel can also organise...

I really loved Pisko & Soul. It's a place that really deserves to be called a "hostel" as it provides hot showers, heaters and a good breakfast. Furthermore, I really liked the location of Pisko & Soul - it's close to the city centre but not too close so you are going to have a good rest at night instead of being annoyed by drunk tourists.||The best, however, was the staff: Gonzalo and his employees were so lovely because they hepled me out with so many issues I had throughout my stay at their hostel.||||I really ejoyed my stay at their hostel and highly recommend...
