Blue Marina Hotel Boracay — Hotel in Malay

We decided to go for a holiday on Boracay Island for a week. We have been looking for a suitable accommodation option for a long time. And when we found this wonderful hotel, we were very happy. The price includes transfer from/to the airport. A friendly, smiling, wonderful young man met us at Caticlan airport, took our luggage, carried it into a comfortable minivan, and took us to the speed boat. Then we sailed by boat to the next pier, from which we were again taken by minivan directly to the hotel. The hotel is small, one-floor, there is no swimming pool or other interesting entertainment on site, BUT the hotel is a subsidiary hotel of the Coast Hotel, which has everything your heart desires: two swimming pools, an entertainment room with table hockey, a library, a Play Station, a small number of sports equipment. You can enjoy all these benefits on a par with the visitors of this hotel. This hotel is located directly on the coastline and very close to the Blue Marina Hotel. We took breakfast, which turned out to be not a bad option at all. Every day you choose your breakfast from the menu the night before. In the morning you go out to the hotel lobby, they set the table for you and you enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere. Once we were sent to the Coast hotel for breakfast, we were amazed by the variety of dishes: cheeses, sausages, egg dishes, various fruits, vegetables, yogurt, pastries, main courses. Delicious. At Blue Marina you can only choose one dish. The lobby itself will also have three options for pastries, oatmeal, milk, juice, but no more. They could at least add some more fruit, it would be much better. The hotel room is good, with a large soft bed. Upon arrival, they left us small compliments: Coca-Cola, mango, bananas, a small bottle of rum, sweets, two beach bags, two hand sprays, two pairs of beach slippers. There are a huge number of different cafes near the hotel, so we didn’t go hungry. The beach is 3-5 minutes walk, which is also very cool. The only one huge minus is good audibility, a very loud sound from a nearby cafe, but somewhere at 11-12 at night it closes and there is no more music. But the neighbors can make noise all night, and you can hear it very well. I don’t know how it is in other hotels with this issue, but when we were choosing a hotel, we saw many reviews of hotels telling you that you could hear everything literally to the point of sneezing. Maybe these are the peculiarities of building construction, I am not keen on this matter.Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and would recommend staying at this hotel if your budget is small and you want a hotel close to the beach, with food and good service. This is definitely a worthy option, especially because of the transfer. Thank you very much for the excellent service, for the warm meeting at the airport, for seeing off early in the morning, for the organized breakfast before leaving early for the airport at the end of our vacation. My family and I definitely had fun and had a relaxing stay here at Blue Marina/Coast. Their service overall is superb. The transfer upon arrival at Caticlan airport to the hotel, and from hotel to airport was very seamless - and this is already included in their room rate.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed with clean face/hand towel and a drink to refresh ourselves.

Our room and the bathroom was huge and clean (though the bathroom could use an improvement in the fixtures). They had a handwritten welcome message with sweets and fruits beside it.

We tried their plated breakfast for 2 days which is included in the room rate, and we also had our breakfast buffet at Coast for 2 days (with an additional charge of 260 php per person. The buffet was great as it had variety, loved their egg station and their ube champorado. What's great is that you get to have your breakfast with a view of the beach.

Blue Marina doesn't have any resort amenities, but you could use all the amenities/facilities in Coast which is just a walking distance (including their beach front). They also provide free popcorn and ice cream in the afternoon.

It's the little things I appreciate, even when not asked like giving us a towel after taking a dip in the beach or pool. Giving us a pillow while we lounge at the pool area, also drinking water. They also put beach mats for us and provided drinking water every time we were swimming in the beach. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating, and ensured that they attend to our needs.

I will definitely stay here again the next time I am back, and will recommend to family and friends. Thanks again,...

It's all about the people! This is one of the best run hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying. Every staff member without exception was courteous, attentive and helpful. Staying at Blue Marina entitles you access to the beach front Coast hotel facilities (pool, restaurant and beach towels and mats) makes the experience an absolute joy. Rooms were quiet, spotless and comfortable with quiet air conditioning (ice cold if desired) working to perfection. Shower pressure could have been better but it was certainly adequate to wash the ocean salt away. It's also all about the location! The Blue Marina is perfectly situated along the best part of the beach front promenade. Walk to the beach and turn to the right to find great restaurants (Cha Cha's. Shakey's pizza (thin crust)) and bars (Nigi Nigis). Be sure to enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast, or two, on Cha Cha's beach front deck....
