It is a never ending wait! The hype about Tram 28 made it impossible to use or at least to get on. Of course it is recommended to get on at the first station if you want to get on at all as it starts full already. To even sit is nearly a miracle. If you look at the amount of people in the queue you might quickly give up on the idea of trying this experience. The first experience is more like an adventure to get on after a 2-3 hours long queue. Be smart and do the opposite of what most people do! Take a bus, go to the other end of the tram and you'll be seated within a 20 minute queue. You'll be back in the reverse direction before others even board first place. Alternatively take another tram on a similar route. There are options.

This is where you catch tourist tram #12 and #28, which takes you to the popular tourist attractions on the hill. It gets pretty crowded with long lines to get on this popular tram, especially on the weekend. So get there early.
