I was browsing for a while before I made eye contact with the shopkeeper. I didn't smile. He interpreted this in a negative way (at least that's what I assume his problem with me was?). Shortly he asked me why am I so upset, and I told him I'm not upset. And I wasn't. I was perfectly okay until after this incident. He replied 'well that's how I look'. I didn't feel like getting into why I could be perceived as such, so I just kept quiet. I'm a quiet person anyway. I decided to get 2 magnets. He entered the amount on the card machine and just pushed the machine to me, without saying 'x amount please' or turning the machine so that I can see how much I'm paying. Luckily I sensed that something is wrong, before consciously realising his actions. I went along with his story as if I thought these magnets were the cheaper €1 ones (I hoped they were a euro, but thought they are probably more expensive). Thankfully I decided to stick with my gut feeling and told him never mind and walked off. I went into another 5 gift shops at least, and everyone was selling these magnets for €3. He wanted to charge me €8 for the two. I don't know why this hurt me so much. That even after 5 hours I'm still tearing up because of this. And what kind of person decides to rip someone off because they 'look upset'? It's not okay even if I were to seem like a nasty person—which I am definitely not and really don't think I could ever be perceived as one. So why did I deserve this? Congratulations for ruining my last night Barcelona
EDIT:
You're lying. There was no price tag 100%, I looked. Here's a photo of the exact same magnet that I bought at a different store, which is the exact same size. You didn't say 'you seem upset', you said 'why are you so upset', I said I'm not, and you said 'well you look upset' with a...
