We stayed for two nights in their 2-bedroom Exclusive Apartment. Overall, we liked our stay and felt it was a good choice for our travel group of 4 adults.||Location: Excellent. This Aparthotel is centrally located on C/Gran Via 48, a short walk to the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor. Even the Royal Palace of Madrid is only a 11-min walk. A big bonus is the Carrefours supermarket being just around the corner. ||Interior space and condition: ||Lobby: Small and could be crowded especially around check-out time . Staff is courteous and helpful. ||Elevators: Small interior space (can fit only a couple of passengers with luggage at any one time). They tended to run slow.||Inside the apartment: |Spacious and uncluttered. Decor is modern and furnishings are kept in good condition. There are 2 bedrooms with one being an ensuite. (Negative: The ensuite sink is oddly designed; it is shallow so very easy to splash oneself when using tap.) The other bathroom is still convenient for use although smaller in size. Both baths could use better dispensing method of body moisturizer. What is provided is from a wall-mounted bottle with pump - the type of lotion used is runny and makes a mess by its quick squirts. ||- Sleep quality: Very good. This apartment is on the high floor (18th), situated away from the elevators, and at all times being quiet and free of ambient noise. Bedding is very good too. ||- Bedrooms have plenty of storage space. However, there are no luggage racks.||- Open kitchen: Large, clean, and have basic cooking utensils and tools. However, beware that there is a price list for coffee pods, tea bags, and even the small bottle of dishwashing liquid and sponge. ||- Outdoor pool and gym: Unfortunately, the pool was under renovation so we could not use it. The indoor gym is nothing to write about, being limited in space and has only a few pieces of equipment. ||Note that there is no stopping on C/Gran Via in front of the hotel entrance. Drop off/pick up by car will therefore need to consider an alternative arrangement, but requires only...
Read moreMy recent stay at Gran View Apartments (July 7-9) was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. Although it was a short trip, we experienced multiple issues that ruined the experience.||||On our first night, the unit next to ours had a loud party that started around 2 PM and went on until 6 AM—with blasting music, yelling, and a constant stream of people coming in and out. It was completely disruptive. It didn’t seem like everyone there was even a registered guest. Despite the apartment’s strict “no loud music” policy, this rule was clearly ignored. The staff issued only one warning and claimed they would call the police if it continued—but no immediate action was taken.||||My daughter and I had just arrived after a long day of travel and couldn’t sleep at all. We tried calling the front desk several times but got no answer. We were scared to go downstairs because there were intoxicated young men walking through the halls, slamming doors, and making us feel unsafe.||||Eventually, the police did show up sometime after 6 AM, banging loudly and aggressively on the neighbor’s door. It went on for nearly an hour, making us feel even more on edge. My daughter was so exhausted from the night that she slept until 1 PM, and we essentially lost the entire next day of our trip.||||When I approached reception to share what happened, I was completely dismissed. The staff were uninterested, walked away as I was speaking, and gave me insincere apologies that didn’t feel genuine at all.||||To top it all off, on our last day—just minutes before checkout—a repairman entered our apartment without knocking. He walked in while I was inside, and thankfully I was clothed. When I informed the front desk, they just stared at me, visibly shocked, and didn’t even apologize.||||This place might be popular, but that’s no excuse for poor management, lack of security, and such blatant disregard for guest safety and comfort. I would not recommend Gran View Apartments to anyone looking for a peaceful or...
