Bangkok Trip Part III
We proceed to Siam Paragon after brief shopping in Siam Square area. Our destination? Gourmet Market which is located on Ground floor - a big & spacious market concept which is always packed with patrons.
One will be spoilt with choices when it comes to shopping for groceries or even having a meal here. For me it's like a huge maze at this level.
âūSeafood Platter from 80 Below can easily feed 2 eaters - freshly shucked oysters, bamboo clams, scallop, mussels, clams, prawns & salad served on bed of ice in a big platter. âūGrilled lamb rack which I ordered from another stall in which they sent to my table. Grilled to perfection with medium doneness with that smoky taste. âūSalmon sashimi & Thai-style marinated prawn + salmon .. not contented with what we were having, I bought these to eat. Fresh and appetising! âūBonus - Australian brut which I was glad that I ordered because it felt so right to drink something so refreshing at that moment!
Everytime I come here, I loved shopping for groceries especially Thai snacks which are not readily available at home. And I would make it a point to eat here...
Read moreLove visiting this supermarket whenever I'm in town. Well-organised and well-stocked. Offers both local and imported goods. Whether you are a local or tourist, you can definitely get what you need here. Fruits and fresh produce are nicely displayed, fresh and pretty. Always plenty of interesting products not found in other supermarkets as well. Even when it's crowded, you are still able to shop comfortably without bumping into anyone. I love the pets section where I can stock up on my dog's food and get nice accessories for him! Staff are also pleasant and knowledgeable. Overall, excellent shopping experience! Will recommend anyone who's in the area to visit and browse! There's also a HUGE food hall right in front of the supermarket, offering wide range of read-to-eat dishes, international cuisines, street food, pastries, bread...

Drinks: You can order their craft beer on tap. However if you want any other drinks you would have to pick and pay at the market's counter and bring in to your table. Coupled with the food's ordering process, you may need to spend quite a bit of time to get your whole dining experience complete.
Service: The process can be confusing. I felt the staff at the counter taking the orders was not in the mood for work. Attitude wasn't the best. You will have to wait for quite some time since it's cooked to order.
Cleanliness: Saw small cockroaches running around. They were informed after we saw a second one. Saw from previous reviews that we were not the only ones who experienced dining with...
