I told myself I gotta try After you when I reach Bangkok and I came on my 1st night in town, a spot well-talked-about amongst those with a sweet tooth. The star for me was their Thai bingsu – a mound of shaved ice that was a little over the top with sweetness but still had me digging for more. I went with the baby size, a perfect portion for someone who likes to indulge without going overboard. The cream on top was rich and smooth, creating a delightful contrast with the ice.

Meanwhile, my husband was all about his lava chocolate cake with a side of ice cream. For me, one spoonful was enough – a bit too sugary. He, on the other hand, couldn’t get enough of that gooey chocolate goodness. We also shared a milk tea, which, true to the café's style, was on the sweeter side, but it had that robust tea flavor shining through.

We were expecting a longer wait, but to our surprise, we were seated after a mere 10-minute pause, despite a queue of dessert enthusiasts. Disappointed by Poor Service – Not What I Expected from After You I’ve always loved After You for the desserts, but my recent visit to the Siam Paragon branch in the early of Jun 2025 was a huge letdown — not because of the food, but because of the staff and the line manager’s behavior.

Despite the shop being only moderately busy, the staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional when I asked a simple question about the seating queue. She rolled her eyes and responded with an annoyed tone, making me feel like a burden rather than a customer.

Even worse, the other staff didn’t seem to care. The volumn of reading speaker is too low and far from the waiting seat, also english is quite fast to listen. The store manager handled it very roughly when we showed up right after the speaker read the order number just past 1 number, but we were told that we needed to get a new number 10 numbers away from the current number. It felt like they just wanted foreigner in and out without any respect or appreciation.

I’m honestly shocked at how poorly this branch is managed. A great dessert can’t make up for being treated poorly. Definitely reconsidering...
