On the expensive side. Top 5 seafood restaurant in Bangkok. I do highly recommend this place because the chef did a great job. The food taste amazing!
Since it is in Siam Paragon, u will be paying for the convenient locations. Lots of locals eat here so I m confident to give it a try. The seafood is fresh and tasty.
I also learn the different between meat crab vs egg crab. So if you want to enjoy crab with tasty meat, go for meat crab. If you want to enjoy the eggs, order egg crab.
Egg Crab is so delicious, but the meat testure was abit mushy. The meat is not yummy to be eat directly. So the trick was u need to mix both egg and meat together first and then and eat it with rice for best flavours. The Thai style ya.
Grilled freshwater shrimp is big, fresh and sweet. Egg Crab in coconut sauce is so flavourful. Taro fish soup is refreshing and not spicy.
Presentation can be better. Some staffs speak limited English, but they 're helpful because I asked alot of questions on the eggs crab and they are patience with me.
Menu is full of options, you will be spoiled with choices. It does look abit confusing because too many the style of cooking and the variety of...
Read moreWent to Laem Charoen for lunch which is our tradition whilst waiting to check in into the hotel. The food was really good as usual. The fried garoupa and cod fish were scrumptious as always. No comparison. Can’t find it anywhere where I stay. Only probably in Bangkok. The one that blew away the cod was still the chilli clams. It’s so good. The spice, sweetness and saltiness combined to usurp your senses. Absolutely must try. Sadly the river prawns were not in stock. Otherwise, this could be its main rival. Apart from that, the chunky crab cooked in yellow curry was really good as well. I just wished this guy comes over to KL one day. We will be blown away with his repertoire. Still one of the better seafood places in Bangkok. The prices though, is something else. It is at Siam Paragon though. And weirdly, at peak lunchtime hours, the place is reasonably packed only. Used to be packed to the brim. Maybe post Covid recovery still underway here. Slowly but...
Read moreChanced upon this shop when we are in search of crab fried rice in Bangkok and man we were lucky!
The generous serving of crab in the fried rice was repeated in the vermicelli dish, where there’s a whole lot of prawns in the dish as well. The crab fried rice was fragrant and we finished it before the next dish was served.
The vermicelli had a strong wok hey smell to it and was superbly good, probably the best I ever had in terms of taste and texture.
The morning glory certainly was spicy and fresh.
Last but not least, the crab legs were the easiest crab I ever eaten, whereby you could simply bite off the meat portion and it would be clean off the legs. Only complain was that it was quite bland albeit it being fresh, not as sweet as I would have thought, and so it would be good if there’s a sauce that comes with it.
All in all, good place for a seafood meal, though it can get really pricey with crabs and...
